There is no ambiguity that every one want to look flowless in this era, though, with ageing and some other factors beauty may fade away. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under-length at 144 words, failing to meet the 250-word minimum requirement. This severely limits the development of ideas. While the essay introduces the topic and touches upon the negative aspects of anti-ageing products, it fails to provide a balanced discussion or a clear conclusion. The ideas are under-developed, and the lack of length prevents the student from fully addressing all parts of the task. Consequently, the response is only a partial attempt at the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into two paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is limited due to the brevity of the text. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'To commence with' and 'not only... but', but the overall structure is underdeveloped. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the logical flow is interrupted by the abrupt ending of the text. The paragraphing is present, but the lack of content makes it difficult to assess the full range of cohesive skills.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and contains frequent spelling errors that are distracting, such as 'flowless' (flawless), 'thouse' (those), 'cosmatic' (cosmetic), 'prodouts' (products), 'comertials' (commercials), 'creats' (creates), 'wrinkels' (wrinkles), 'psycologically' (psychologically), 'manupulate' (manipulate), and 'expencive' (expensive). While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary, the high frequency of spelling mistakes and the limited range of expression prevent the response from reaching a higher band. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey basic meaning but lacks precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'every one want' (wants), 'age is becoming a factor for there dull look' (their), 'some time' (sometimes), 'life threatning' (life-threatening), and 'as there effect dont last' (their/doesn't). Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high density of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction significantly impacts the quality of the writing.
