Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address both the positive and negative aspects of the topic, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient detail or relevant examples. The introduction is somewhat confused, and the conclusion does not fully synthesize the points made. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more depth and ensure the essay reaches the required length to allow for a full exploration of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression of ideas is often hindered by awkward phrasing and limited use of cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are sometimes mechanical or unclear, such as the abrupt shift in the second paragraph. Referencing is occasionally imprecise, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of your argument. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that connects logically to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice and spelling that occasionally impede communication. For example, 'iteams' instead of 'items', 'proctors' instead of 'protectors', and 'loction' instead of 'lotion'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. You rely on basic terms and struggle with collocations, such as 'apply skin proctors item'. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to health and beauty and pay closer attention to spelling and word formation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('people want to bought'), tense usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or contain errors that make them difficult to parse, such as 'Because in today's time it all about posting on social media'. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often inaccurate. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles and prepositions before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
