In today's modern society, anti-aging products and treatments are easily available in the market. Although, it helps people to boost confidence and stay accepted particularly for those people, whose profession requires beauty such as a acting and a modeling, its negative impacts on health and skin, and creating inequality among community members are far more significant. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The student has attempted to address the prompt regarding anti-aging products and treatments, presenting a clear position that this is a negative development. However, the response is incomplete and cuts off mid-sentence after only 88 words, falling drastically short of the 250-word minimum requirement. Because the task is severely under-length and ideas cannot be fully developed, this heavily impacts Task Achievement. Based on the band descriptors for a heavily truncated response where parts of the task remain undeveloped due to insufficient length, this falls under Band 4.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
Despite the extreme brevity of the text, the opening paragraph shows a logical structure with a clear introduction, transition words such as 'Although' and 'Therefore', and an attempt to outline main arguments. The second paragraph begins with a standard cohesive marker ('On the one hand') and introduces the first supporting point well. However, because the text breaks off abruptly after only a few sentences, overall progression and paragraphing are incomplete. Cohesion is attempted but remains limited due to the unfinished nature of the writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary for the production generated, using relevant topic-specific terms like 'anti-aging products', 'treatments', and 'confidence'. There are some lexical inaccuracies and awkward phrasing, such as 'such as a acting and a modeling' where articles are misused. While an attempt is made to use less common vocabulary, the limited output restricts a full evaluation of lexical range. Communication is not impeded in the sentences that are completed.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as the concessive clause starting with 'Although, it helps people...' and the compound structure in the introduction. Grammatical control is mixed; there are errors in punctuation and article usage (e.g., 'a acting and a modeling'), and the text ends abruptly without finishing the second paragraph. However, the initial sentences show some control over complex structures before the text stops.
