Student answer (Band 5.0)

In recent times the Scientists and Doctors had developed way too my products and treatment plans to look younger than actually are. Specially these products and treatments are favourites to the social media influencers and to the celebrities. Becuase the more young they look the more followers they have and that is the equation.

Firstly I dont think these products are good for the skin in the longterm usage. As they have so many chemical substances to the ingredient list of the particular product, they can cause serious Cancer issues.

Secondly the treatment plans which is most recent favourite of tall the celebreties I dont think that lastlong. One who is going for a surgery to chnage thir body shape , it is not that easy as one should go through excess amount of pain and once they go through that they wont be normal as before.

I know a celebrity who was one of my most favourite actor in the Tollywood industry whom i used to follow and admire for his hardwork and dedication has gone through a treatment plan to look more younger than he actually is. He had to take a break from his acting carrer for almost 2years. And when he made his comeback after 2 years, he lost all his natural acting skills which he admitted in one of the interview. He never looked normal again and has to through lot of medication after tghe surgery which lead him to Diabettes.

In my opinion every one who are using the beauty produts, treatments or going through surgeries to look younger has stop immediately. As they have side effects , some of them can lead to Cancer , Diabetes and even to death.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether anti-aging products and treatments are a good or bad thing, clearly taking a negative stance arguing that they are harmful. The position is maintained throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies heavily on a single extended personal anecdote about a celebrity. While this example attempts to support the argument regarding health risks, it lacks broader academic or general consideration of the socio-cultural or economic factors behind anti-aging trends. The main body paragraphs cover risks such as chemical side effects and surgical complications, satisfying the basic requirements of the task, but the arguments remain rather simplistic and lack sufficient extension to reach higher bands. Therefore, the task response aligns best with Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into distinct paragraphs, attempting a traditional introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the overall organizational structure lacks smooth logical progression. Cohesive devices are basic and sometimes used incorrectly, such as "Firstly I dont think..." and "Secondly the treatment plans which is most recent favourite...". Paragraphing is used, but transitions between ideas are abrupt. For instance, jumping directly from general chemical risks to a specific Tollywood actor's anecdote lacks bridging sentences. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and repetition of phrases like "to look younger than actually are" creates mechanical cohesion rather than natural flow. These features place the response firmly in Band 5.0 for Coherence and Cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses a limited and repetitive range of vocabulary, with frequent errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling. Examples include writing "my products" instead of "many products", "Specially" instead of "Especially", "carrear" instead of "career", and "Diabettes" instead of "Diabetes". Less common lexical items are attempted, such as "social media influencers", "treatment plans", and "chemical substances", but they are often combined with awkward phrasing like "favourities to the social media influencers" and "serious Cancer issues". While meaning is generally retrievable despite the lexical inadequacies and misspellings, the vocabulary is basic and restricted, fitting the criteria for a Band 5.0 score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammatical range is quite limited, consisting of a mix of simple and frequently faulty complex sentences. There are numerous grammatical errors throughout the text, including tense inconsistencies ("the Scientists and Doctors had developed", "has stop immediately"), missing articles ("in one of the interview", "has to through lot of medication"), and subject-verb agreement issues ("every one who are using", "treatment plans which is most recent"). Punctuation and capitalization errors are also noticeable. These frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and demonstrate weak control over complex sentence structures, reflecting a Band 4.5 to 5.0 performance; however, because meaning is mostly clear, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
