Student answer (Band 6.0)
Recently people are buying many products or paying for treatments that help them to look younger than their age. This depends on person to person. I believe this a bad thing and this essay will enlighten the same.
People are buying expensive products and going for treatments to look much younger through social media stunts. Usually female cliente are the most influenced for the products. Companies try to manipulate the results and show the results over social media. People tend to follow the trend to look beautiful. People travel abroad for treatments like Botox, Lip filling, detanning of their skin tone and much more.
These treatments and products are good fit for few people but not for everyone. Every body and skin is different and people do not understand the allergic reaction to their face and body. The chemical reaction of the products and treatment would not be suitable for them and they have to deal for the rest of their lifes. Companies do not guarantee for perfect transformations. There are lot of examples in which people have severe problems after such treatments.
I believe people should embace their natural beauty and use natural products like turmeric, milk products and not chemicals on them. Ancient history suggests that natural products are better than chemicals and heals your bodies from roots. Consult doctors before doing anything with your body. Make natural changes like using balance and clean diet which will affect your body, going to gym and excersing for decent amount of time. Body needs to rest as well. Physical appearances will change a lot if you focus internally and not use chemicals on yourself.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether products and treatments to look younger are positive or negative, clearly stating the position that it is a bad thing. The student includes relevant ideas, such as the influence of social media, potential health risks, and the benefits of natural alternatives. However, some arguments lack full extension and development. For instance, the mention of 'social media stunts' and female clientele is introduced but not deeply explored, and the suggestion to 'consult doctors' is brief. Nevertheless, the main parts of the task are addressed with a clear overall position maintained throughout. This places the response comfortably at Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph-by-paragraph structure that moves from introduction to social media influences, health consequences, and finally personal recommendations and natural alternatives. However, cohesion at the sentence level is occasionally faulty or mechanical. For example, sentences like 'This depends on person to person' and 'Companies do not guarantee for perfect transformations' lack smooth transitional links. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct points, but referencing and logical connectors between sentences could be more flexible and natural to achieve a higher band. Overall, the organization is clear and easy to follow, justifying a Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms such as 'allergic reaction', 'chemical reaction', 'transformation', and 'physical appearances'. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, but these are accompanied by word choice and collocation inaccuracies, such as 'female cliente' (spelling and agreement error), 'embace' (spelling error), and saying treatments 'heals your bodies from roots' rather than 'at the root'. Additionally, phrasing like 'balance and clean diet' instead of 'balanced and clean diet' indicates minor limitations in lexical control. Communication is not impeded, fitting the Band 6.0 descriptor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing conditionals and modal verbs such as 'People tend to follow' and 'people should embrace'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and punctuation slips throughout the text. Examples include missing articles ('this a bad thing', 'for the rest of their lifes'), incorrect prepositions ('reaction to their face', 'guarantee for perfect transformations'), and minor spelling or morphological issues like 'excersing'. While these errors occur regularly, the sentence structures are sufficiently varied and the meaning remains clear, meaning communication is rarely impeded. This performance aligns with Band 5.5 to 6.0, settling securely at Band 6.0 due to the successful communication of ideas.
