Student answer (Band 5.0)
In current times, there are a-lot of cosmetic products and procedures which made people to appear more younger.
From my perspective, these procedures and cosmetic products definately help most of the people all around the globe.
For instance, there are so many products regarding diffrent issues such as acne, wrinkles and pimples, these cosmetic products works great reducing darkspots, wrinkles and acne.however, this comes at a cost the first issue is that the cost of these products is very high plus they can even react with skin causing severe burns and allergy.
Furthurmore, if we consider about high cost medical treatments such as laser treatment which is mostly done to remove facial hair and in less frequent cases like dark spot reduction; it can cause several issues as some people have delicate skin. in general, these treatments can cause irritation, burning and in severe cases allergy and itching.
Hydra facial is another medical procedure which is quite famous days which revolve around cleaning the dark pores and dirt which is due to long time exposure to outside environment.personally, i think hydra facial is worth the money and time as it provides real sense of wellbeing and freshness.
However, taking care of your personal health and self grooming is essential.but, we must never use the proucts which are not advised by dermatologist as they can also have negative effects on your skin and health.
Overall, self grooming and having sense of wellbeing is important but we must never forget not to over do; a simple morning and night skincare routine is more than enough.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the positive and negative aspects of products and treatments used to look younger. The student takes a somewhat balanced perspective, acknowledging benefits such as freshness and a sense of wellbeing alongside drawbacks like high costs and potential skin reactions. Examples such as lasers and hydrafacials are included to support the discussion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, with brief mentions of issues like acne and dark spots without deeper exploration. While the position is clear, the overall depth of argumentation aligns more closely with a Band 5 or 6 descriptor set. Because the ideas are relevant and all parts of the prompt are addressed, albeit simply, a band score of 5.5 is appropriate.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates a basic logical arrangement, moving from general cosmetic products to specific medical treatments like lasers and hydrafacials, and concluding with a personal stance on skincare. Paragraphing is attempted, though some paragraphs are quite brief or poorly linked. Cohesive devices are used, but sometimes inaccurately or mechanically, as seen with 'however, this comes at a cost' and 'Furthurmore'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and punctuation errors around conjunctions disrupt the flow. While the overall progression can be followed, the structural flaws prevent the response from achieving a higher band. These characteristics place the response firmly at Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and minimally adequate for discussing skincare products and treatments. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'wellbeing', 'dermatologist', and 'grooming', but there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'a-lot', 'definately', 'diffrent', 'proucts', and 'over do'. Additionally, there are awkward phrasing choices like 'appear more younger' and 'famous days'. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted lexical control. Therefore, a band score of 5.0 is assigned for lexical resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. Examples include 'products and procedures which made people to appear more younger' and 'if we consider about high cost medical treatments'. There are also frequent punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after periods and commas, comma splices, and lower-case letters at the beginning of sentences and for the pronoun 'i'. These persistent errors cause difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 5 descriptors where frequent errors in grammar and punctuation are common.
