Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear opinion that the trend is bad, and you offer relevant reasons: treatments may risk health, chemical products may damage skin, and healthy habits can support appearance and wellbeing. The example about an actress’s death is intended to support the risk argument, although it needs clearer explanation and reliable detail. Your response addresses the question, but several points are asserted rather than developed—for example, the claims about natural food and seasonal eating are not explained with specific reasoning. The response is also 26 words below the 250-word minimum; the 24 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each main reason with explanation or a relevant example, and add enough original writing to meet the requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a recognisable overall shape: an opening, a paragraph giving reasons, a further paragraph about products, and a conclusion. Your position is repeated in the conclusion, which helps the reader identify your view. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in long, loosely connected strings, such as the sequence about food, appearance, and a healthy lifestyle. Linking phrases such as “According to me” and “In conclusion” are used, but connections between individual claims are often unclear or repetitive. Organise the body into distinct points, each with an explanation and example, and use clear references and transitions so the reader can see how each sentence supports the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “weight loss treatment,” “artificial chemical products,” “healthy food,” and “lifestyle.” These choices make your general subject clear. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “look younger,” “beauty,” and “products.” There are also frequent spelling and word-choice problems, including “Entaire,” “moive,” “heakty,” and “saloon shops,” which can make the reader pause or infer your meaning. Some combinations are unnatural, such as “back of beauty” and “good personality to looks.” Build a topic vocabulary list and check spelling and collocations; prefer precise expressions such as “appearance-enhancing treatments” and “potential health risks.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express reasons and consequences, including a sentence linking healthy eating with appearance and health, but most sentences rely on simple patterns or become incomplete and difficult to parse. For example, “people are using many beauty product look younger” is missing grammatical links, while “No need to waste money for such unnecessary things” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence. Errors also occur with articles, plurals, agreement, and verb forms, as in “one of the moive actress … died” and “products not required.” Punctuation and spacing make sentence boundaries unclear. Practise writing complete subject–verb sentences first, then combine them with accurate clauses using “because,” “although,” or “which.”
