Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You answer the question directly by judging the trend as mostly beneficial while acknowledging risks, and the conclusion restates this position. Relevant reasons include easier access through technology and the possibility of skin damage or financial loss. However, the positive side is developed more fully than the negative side, and some support is unclear: the example about “automative information” does not clearly explain how technology identifies wrinkles or makes a product effective. Develop each reason with a specific, credible example and explain its connection to whether the trend is good or bad. A more balanced discussion of safety, informed choice, or social pressure would also make your evaluation more convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other side,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main direction. However, some links feel mechanical, and the progression within paragraphs is not always clear. The first body paragraph moves from technology to women, advertising, and an example without showing how each point builds the argument. References such as “this problem” and “they” can also be unclear. Group related points together, use more precise referencing, and make the relationship between each example and its main idea explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “treatments,” “sensitive skin,” “wrinkles,” and “dermatologist,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific language, but inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make meaning less clear. Examples include “automative information,” “rule out the cause,” “adversitement,” and “negetive thing.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “look more younger” and “original skin.” Check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships for cosmetics and medical treatments. Choosing precise, natural expressions will make your argument clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “although,” “which,” and “so,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence construction recur. For example, “some people does not have” should use a plural verb, while “a beneficial” is missing a suitable noun or needs a different structure. In “people purchasing items … that is because,” the sentence construction is incomplete, and “it become more costly” has an incorrect verb form. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and building complete clauses, especially when combining ideas with relative clauses or contrast markers.
