Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider anti-ageing products and procedures beneficial, mainly because they may support skin care and confidence. Both reasons are relevant, and you include examples such as treatments and people in public-facing professions. However, the discussion develops these points unevenly. The skin-care paragraph lists procedures and claims about their effects, but does not explain their benefits or limitations in much depth; the confidence paragraph relies heavily on celebrities and appearance. The conclusion repeats the position rather than drawing together the reasons. To strengthen the response, explain the effects more carefully and consider a relevant qualification, such as cost, safety, or unrealistic beauty standards, while maintaining your clear overall view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Paragraph openings such as “To begin with” and “In addition” help signal the progression, and examples are generally placed alongside the point they support. However, some links feel mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Therefore” and “For example,” and the connection between ideas is occasionally unclear. The sentence beginning “For instance, people from different professions” does not clearly show how the listed professions support the claim about confidence. The conclusion also repeats earlier wording rather than synthesising the argument. Use more precise referencing and make each example’s relevance explicit to improve the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “skin barrier,” “microneedling,” “fillers,” “skin texture,” and “confident,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at less common terms, though some are inaccurate or awkwardly combined: “derma procedures,” “a perfect skin,” and “a good effects” do not sound natural in context. Repetition of “skin,” “people,” and “confident” limits flexibility, while “Henc” is a spelling error. Choose more precise collocations and vary repeated terms—for example, refer to “cosmetic treatments” and “a flawless complexion” where appropriate. These improvements would make the vocabulary more natural and accurate without requiring more complicated words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when,” and “in which.” Most of the meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “individuals wants” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “help to improves” uses the wrong verb form. Articles and countability are also problematic in “a several products” and “a perfect skin.” In “elder people who had a necessary skin care products,” the noun phrase and verb form are not controlled, and the sentence structure makes the example difficult to follow. Review agreement, articles, and verb patterns, then proofread longer sentences. More accurate control of these forms would make your varied sentence attempts clearer.
