Student answer (Band 5.5)
In modern era there are many products for our skin treatment, people use to buy some products and some of them pay for the treatements like laser to look younger. It is being trending nowdays as people use social media they don't want anyone else should judge their age by their appearence. According to me it can be both good and bad as some products are good and some have side effects.
One of the reason I agree with these things is these help people look young at their old age. It helps them looks professional and attractive. Secondly people feel confident in the new technology time social media is the main thing so people want to look confident infront camera while making reels or videos or click picture for their social media handle. Last but not least I feel people don't want to loose their young age gap they just want to look younger in thier old age.
Moving towards the drawbacks for these things. Firstly, these thing can harm skin or give some reaction some products are not suitable for the skin and people use it whicn can lead to harmful allergic reaction. Secondly, laser treatement can also leads to skin cancer people may not see the effects currently but may face difficulties in future.
To conclude products are treatment can be better option at certian age limit. As these have good outcomes and bad outcomes. I feel like people should use the products but not in excess. As these leads to skin probles or other diseases.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view that the effects can be positive or negative. The benefits of confidence and looking professional, and the risks of skin reactions or future harm, are relevant to the topic. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for example, the claim that laser treatment can lead to skin cancer would be stronger with a reason or a qualified example. The point about wanting to retain a “young age gap” is also unclear, so its relevance is difficult to follow. To develop the response further, explain how these effects influence people’s lives and make your final position more precise about when such treatments are worthwhile.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on drawbacks, and a conclusion. The progression from positive effects to risks is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Secondly” and “To conclude” help guide the reader. This gives the essay a coherent arrangement, while some linking is still mechanical and repeated. For instance, “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Last but not least” organise lists, but do not always show how one idea develops from another. The conclusion also repeats that there are good and bad outcomes rather than drawing the discussion together. Use clearer links between claims and explanations, and ensure references such as “these things” point unmistakably to products or treatments.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “skin treatment,” “side effects,” “confident,” and “allergic reaction.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, which sometimes makes the reader pause. Examples include “young age gap,” “new technology time,” and “products are treatment.” Spelling errors such as “treatements,” “appearence,” and “certian” are also noticeable. Aim to learn accurate phrases as complete units, such as “cosmetic procedures,” “maintain a youthful appearance,” and “adverse reaction.” Check spelling carefully and choose precise wording so that your ideas sound natural and are easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea in “some products are good and some have side effects” and a relative clause in “products are not suitable for the skin.” However, control is inconsistent, particularly in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. For example, “It helps them looks” should use a consistent verb pattern, while “laser treatement can also leads” has a subject–verb form error. The opening sentence also runs several clauses together without clear punctuation. These errors sometimes make the meaning less smooth, although the main message remains understandable. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea and then add subordinate clauses, checking agreement and punctuation as you revise.
