Student answer (Band 5.0)
These days, individuals are spending money on beauty products and also getting lots of treatment just to look more attractive and younger.
In my opinion, buying beauty products is just a wastage of money but beauty treatments also have some benefits. before reaching a reasonable conclusion it is worthwhile to analyse whole topic meticulously.
To begin with, people are buying so many makeup items that sometimes give them permanent skin damage. For instance, a study done by Dinanagar university found that 80 percent of people have skin allergies those who use facial products. thus it is not a good idea to apply these products on your face. Moreover, those who use such products have some eye issues because it has chemicals in it that can go in your eye while applying. Although it has lots of cons, if you are using these items with the concern of doctor and by checking the ingridents and chemicals in it. So in my view worse things to apply on your face.
Nevertheless, some treatmenst are really benefitial because these help in getting rid of older face disease and aslo help people to look fair by using laiser treatments. in a research it has been found that people are building trust in these treatments and are taking the pros of this wonderful finding. hence, it also provide some helpful benefits.
To conclude, in my opinion, beauty treatments have some advantages but in some cases it is expensive also. however these products also give skin problems on which we have to spend a lot of money.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both products and treatments and give a broadly negative view of products alongside some support for treatments. However, the overall position is not fully clear: the opening says products are a waste of money, while the conclusion focuses on skin problems and treatment costs without clearly answering whether the overall trend is good or bad. The points about allergies, eye problems, and laser treatments are relevant, but they are asserted rather than explained or supported with convincing examples. The reference to a study is vague, and the benefits of treatments are not developed beyond looking fair and addressing facial problems. State a consistent overall judgement and explain the consequences of your examples more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for products and treatments, and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the main topics. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some linking expressions do not show a clear relationship between ideas. For example, “Although it has lots of cons” is followed by a condition about consulting a doctor, but the sentence does not complete that contrast clearly. “Nevertheless” signals a shift to treatments, though the connection to the preceding discussion is abrupt. The conclusion also repeats earlier points rather than bringing them together into a clear final judgement. Use simpler, more accurate transitions and make each paragraph develop one main point in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “skin damage,” “skin allergies,” “chemicals,” and “laser treatments,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or informal choices make parts of the response awkward, such as “wastage of money,” “look fair,” and “older face disease.” Spelling errors, including “treatmenst,” “benefitial,” “ingridents,” and “laiser,” are noticeable and reduce precision. Some phrases are also repeated, particularly “products” and “treatments.” Build a more precise set of expressions for cosmetic procedures and their effects, and check spelling and collocations carefully so that your meaning is consistently clear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea about using products with a doctor's advice. However, complex structures are often incomplete or inaccurately formed, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “Although it has lots of cons, if you are using these items…” leaves the thought unfinished, while “hence, it also provide some helpful benefits” has a subject–verb agreement error. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “before reaching” and “in a research.” Practise completing subordinate clauses and checking agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. Clearer, shorter sentences would help you communicate your ideas more reliably while you develop greater structural variety.
