Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this generations there are many products of skincare or service treatments that can help people to make them younger again. In my opinion, I think that there are many reason why want to make themselves younger also I can say that it is a good thing.

The main reason they wanted to become younger is to look healthy and make them much more attractive so basically they want to boost their confidence outside also inside. Having to take products to make them younger for example different kinds of vitamins that they take to help their body be more active and immune to diseases. As well making their live much more longer rather than not taking any vitamins

Besides on taking products nowadays many individual also book a service for example going to dermatologist to make their skin and body much more vibrant and younger, with the help of professionals its more likely a great thing. Moreover it would not damage the person's body if professionals are the one that makes a routine or a service to them.

But from what I have known some of the people are had negative impact to their lives if they always or more often they wanted to make their appearances much younger. For example the Botox I know it can make you younger and all but having more botox to your body would likely destroy yourself and make your appearance weird and deformed like other actors and actresses.

In conclusion, people wanted their lives to be much more longer and their appearances much more younger so they were able to buy products and pay service treatments. It is a great thing so many people can enjoy life longer and they can be more confident on themselves and I know many others made this for a living and made their lives happy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you consider products and treatments for looking younger a good thing, while acknowledging that excessive Botox can have harmful effects. You address both products and professional treatments, and the examples of vitamins and Botox are relevant to the question. However, some points are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the claim that vitamins make people live longer needs qualification or support, and the benefits of professional treatments are described generally rather than with a specific example. The negative effects paragraph is useful, but could explain more clearly how people can balance appearance-related benefits against health risks. Develop these ideas with more precise reasoning and examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, paragraphs on products and treatments, a contrasting paragraph about risks, and a conclusion. This makes your position easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “Besides,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” to connect points. At times, however, the links feel mechanical or the references are unclear. For example, “Besides on taking products” does not form a clear transition, and “it” in “it would not damage the person's body” could refer to the treatment or the professional’s routine. Some ideas within paragraphs also run together, particularly the discussion of vitamins and longer life. Use clearer topic sentences and more precise referencing to strengthen progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to discuss appearance, health, and treatments, including “boost their confidence,” “dermatologist,” “vibrant,” and “negative impact.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and the Botox example gives the response some topic-specific language. However, several phrases are imprecise or unnatural, such as “make them younger again,” “their lives much more longer,” and “destroy yourself.” Repetition of “much more” and “younger” also limits flexibility. Aim for more accurate collocations and a wider range of expressions, such as describing treatments as “rejuvenating” or saying they may “damage a person’s appearance.” This would make your meaning more precise and natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “In this generations,” “many reason,” “they wanted to become younger,” and “some of the people are had negative impact.” The sentence beginning “Having to take products” is also a fragment, while “As well making their live…” is not a complete sentence. These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise building complete sentences around each main idea, and check subject–verb agreement, tense consistency, and singular/plural forms. More accurate control of these basics will support your attempts at complex sentences.
