Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern era, people use lot of beauty product and try different treatment that help them to look more younger than their age. In my opinion, this is not a good trend as it look likes. There are many reasons to support this statement that are shown in following paragraph.

To begin with, More and more people are buying beauty product to look younger as they see good result in advertising. First of all these product are way to expensive. if a person want to buy a single product for example a wrinke free cream it small packaging cost almost 5 times more monely than a normal cream. Secondly, Most of the time a cream only effectly if it is used by other similar product. for example, if a person want to buy a wrinkle cream company always insist to use several more product with it to work. Due to this people end up spent more money.

Moreover, there are number of side effects of after using a product or getting a treatment for younger look. These kind of treatment never guarantee that this will work properly. Sometime it totaly change the look of a person that they have to under go another surgery. Recently an Indian actross get her lips treatment but she got severe infection around mouth due chemicals reaction and she had to take anonther treatment.

However, Trying different beauty routine and having some treatment can make people look more beautiful. This change mostly boost a lot of confidence in people.but it not stay always.

In the conclusion, Using various skin care and getting treatment to look younger can be good for some people but it is mostly costly and can also give you skin problems if does not suit your skin. Therefor, I think it is not a good thing to spent money on someting that can give you trouble.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you consider the trend mostly negative, chiefly because of its cost and possible health risks. Both sides of the question are acknowledged, including the point that treatments can improve confidence, and the example of an Indian actress gives the discussion some specific support. These are relevant responses to the task. However, the positive point is only briefly mentioned, and some claims in the main arguments need fuller explanation—for instance, why products are marketed in sets and how often treatments lead to complications. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or a more precise example, and make the conclusion reflect the same balanced reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting disadvantages, a paragraph acknowledging a benefit, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “However” help signal the direction of the argument. At times, though, the progression feels mechanical, and links between points are not always clear. The first body paragraph, for example, moves from advertising to product cost and then to companies recommending additional products without clearly showing how each point develops the previous one. Some references, such as “this” in “this will work properly,” are also vague. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each example explicitly to the claim it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “side effects,” “advertising,” “confidence,” and “infection.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts less natural, such as “look more younger,” “wrinkle free cream,” and “spent more money.” Spelling errors—including “actross,” “totaly,” and “Therefor”—also reduce accuracy and can distract the reader. Aim to use more precise expressions for cosmetic products and procedures, and check spelling carefully. Learning common combinations such as “undergo cosmetic surgery” and “cause an allergic reaction” would help you express these ideas more naturally and clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if a person want to buy” and a relative clause in “a cream only effectly if it is used by other similar product.” The intended meaning is generally understandable, but there are some recurring errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries. For example, “people use lot” needs an article, “it look likes” does not agree with its subject, and “people end up spent” uses the wrong verb form. Capitalisation after full stops is also inconsistent. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and revise longer sentences so that each clause is grammatically complete.
