Student answer (Band 5.0)
People wants to look younger than their real age. Nowadays, there are numerous ways by which you can look younger. Such as skin care products and facial treatments etc. However, people can see themselves young and smart by skin care treatments but on the other hand, very less people are aware with the result of these products. It could be harmful and become the reason of permanent skin damage or any skin related disease. In this essay, I will explain that how the products and treatments effects very badly on the individuals.
Firstly, Some people do not want to spend a lot of money on quality products and buy the cheaper products just to look beatiful and young. These cheaper products are usually made from the bad quality chemicals which can harm the skin. Buyers are complete unaware with this thing and start buying these products. As a result, it becomes the reason of the skin related allergies. In some cases, it also burns the whole facial skin and gives a permanent mark on face.
Secodly, a good skin care treatment is highly expensive and could not be affordable by all the individuals. It could be helpful in making your younger but a little carelessness could be a reason of permanent damage. For example, if people will be follow with the recommended precautions given by the doctor and eat something which can react on you, could be the result of the permanent loss.
To conclude, there are ways which could be helpful to make you young. but these are not permanent.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a clear negative position, stating that products and treatments can harm people, and you support this with relevant examples such as allergies, burns and permanent skin damage. However, the response only partly explores whether this trend is good or bad: it focuses almost entirely on possible risks and gives little consideration to benefits or to why people choose these options. The second body paragraph mentions expense and the need to follow medical advice, but the example is difficult to understand and does not fully explain the risk. The conclusion is also very brief and does not clearly restate your overall judgement. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation and a specific, well-explained example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “Firstly” and “Secodly,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main points. However, progression is uneven: the introduction repeats the idea of looking younger, while the conclusion adds little beyond saying the methods are not permanent. Some links between ideas are unclear, particularly the sentence beginning “For example, if people will be follow…”; the relationship between precautions, food and permanent damage is hard to follow. Connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim, and use referencing and linking phrases more precisely. A fuller conclusion that summarises the two reasons would also make the overall argument feel more complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the central concern, including “skin care products,” “facial treatments,” “allergies” and “permanent skin damage.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For example, “aware with the result” and “complete unaware” are not natural expressions, while “make you young” is imprecise for the idea of appearing younger. There are also spelling errors such as “beatiful” and “Secodly.” Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing cosmetic procedures, risks and affordability, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “but on the other hand” and a conditional example. However, errors occur frequently and sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “People wants,” “products and treatments effects,” and “if people will be follow,” which show problems with subject–verb agreement, verb forms and conditional structure. Articles and sentence construction also need attention, as in “explain that how” and the fragment “Such as skin care products and facial treatments etc.” Practise forming accurate clauses before adding complexity, especially with conditionals and verb agreement. Careful proofreading for complete sentences would improve clarity.
