Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

The response identifies the topic of products and treatments intended to make people look younger, and it signals that you see both positive and negative sides. However, the task asks you to decide whether this is a good or bad thing and support that view; no clear position is established, and neither side is explained with reasons or examples. The opening refers generally to buying beauty products and treatments, but the unfinished sentence, “The first and foremost is,” does not develop an idea. The response is also substantially below the required 250 words, so the task is addressed only minimally. To improve, state your opinion directly, explain two relevant reasons, and support them with specific examples before concluding.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an introductory paragraph is followed by a new paragraph beginning “To start with,” and the opening signals an intention to discuss both sides. These features give the reader some indication of direction. However, the progression stops almost immediately, and the second paragraph ends with the incomplete phrase “The first and foremost is,” leaving the reader without a complete point or connection to further discussion. The linking expressions are therefore not yet supported by developed ideas. Build each paragraph around one complete main point, explain it, and connect it to an example. A conclusion would also help the response feel complete and logically organised.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses some vocabulary relevant to appearance and the topic, including “products,” “treatments,” “skin,” and “look younger,” so the general subject can be recognised. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “associated with it” and “elaborated.” However, several spelling errors and inaccurate or unnatural word choices make parts difficult to understand: “modren,” “purchese,” “miore,” “beauti equipment,” and “vindication.” Phrases such as “Most of the masses” and “operate the skin” are not natural in this context. Aim for accurate, straightforward expressions first, such as “many people,” “buy beauty products,” and “undergo cosmetic treatments,” then add more precise topic vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response shows an attempt to use more than simple statements, including the relative clause in “products … that help them to look younger” and the sentence beginning “I believe that this statement has…”. These structures show some range, and the main topic remains partly understandable. However, grammatical control is uneven. “Most of the masses buy some product for look amazing” has an incorrect infinitive pattern; “for look” should be “to look.” In “there are many associated with it,” the sentence lacks a clear noun after “many,” while “The first and foremost is,” is left incomplete. Practise complete sentence patterns and check that each clause has a clear subject and verb. Developing a few accurate complex sentences would make your ideas easier to follow.
