Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The letter addresses all three bullet points: the positive aspects of the move, praise for an employee, and a complaint regarding punctuality. However, the response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which severely limits the development of ideas. The content is quite brief, and the lack of detail prevents a higher score. To improve, you must expand on your points—for example, describe specific furniture items that were handled well or explain the impact of the delay on your schedule to ensure the letter meets the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter uses basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Moreover' to structure the response. While this creates a logical flow, the paragraphing is somewhat disjointed due to the brevity of the sentences. The progression of ideas is clear, but the overall structure feels mechanical. To improve, try to link your sentences more naturally rather than relying solely on list-like transitions, and ensure that each paragraph contains enough supporting information to justify its existence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and contains several errors in word choice and form, such as 'to moved my house' instead of 'to move my house' and 'under the mane of' instead of 'named'. Phrases like 'really did hard worker' are unnatural and indicate a lack of control over basic collocations. To improve, focus on learning common phrases related to moving services and ensure you are using the correct parts of speech (e.g., 'punctuality' instead of 'pantuality').
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response relies on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'is was great experience' (incorrect verb usage), 'I am really thank to you' (incorrect adjective/verb form), and 'They did not arrived' (incorrect tense). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, which limits the range. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of past tense verbs after 'did' or 'to'.
