Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task: explaining what went well, praising a specific employee, and mentioning a negative aspect. Your ideas are relevant and clearly presented. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited by grammatical inaccuracies, which occasionally make the intended meaning slightly difficult to follow. For example, the description of the employee's actions is a bit repetitive and lacks professional tone. To improve, ensure that you expand on your points with more precise language and maintain a consistent, formal tone throughout the letter, which is essential for a business complaint or feedback letter.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is logically organized into distinct paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Next' and 'Particularly' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between the furniture and the interior design is confusing. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your sentences flow more naturally into one another, rather than relying on simple, repetitive structures.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your experience effectively. You use some relevant terms like 'removal company', 'household items', and 'imported item'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'shifting to new apartment' (should be 'moving to a new apartment') and 'proper possession' (likely meant 'proper position'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit your score. To improve, try to learn common collocations related to moving and professional correspondence.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing articles ('the' new apartment), incorrect verb forms ('I would like give' instead of 'I would like to give'), and punctuation issues. Some sentences, such as 'He not only assisted with items but also organised all items in the proper position with looking beautiful', are grammatically awkward. While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency and accuracy of your writing.
