Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my reviews regarding your moving service.
Recently, I had booked your moving company 'Nick Movers' to shift my furniture and belongings to my new apartment. As your team is highly skillful, everthing went well and according to plan on that day. Despite of having numerous steps, your employess moved my stuff carefully and without any damage.
Your whole team is helpful and efficient but one of your team member 'Chris' helped me in packing my stuff and he even helped me to remove my curtains. I appreciate his effort and gave him a tip as well.
However, I am not happy with the size of moving truck because my stuff does not fit in. I clearly mention the numbers and size of furniture I want to move. Consequently, they have to make two trips to move all the possessions. This is the only issue i faced during

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have successfully addressed all three bullet points of the task. You explained what went well, praised a specific employee, and mentioned a negative aspect regarding the truck size. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter. However, the letter ends abruptly mid-sentence, which leaves the conclusion incomplete. To reach a higher band, ensure that you provide a full closing statement, such as requesting a partial refund or a follow-up, to fully develop the purpose of the letter.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'However' and 'Consequently' to link your thoughts. However, the flow is interrupted by the incomplete final sentence. Additionally, some transitions between sentences feel slightly mechanical. To improve, ensure that your ideas are fully connected and that you always complete your thoughts before ending the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'skillful', 'possessions', and 'efficient'. There are some minor errors in word choice, such as 'express my reviews' (should be 'express my views' or 'provide feedback') and 'shift my furniture' (while acceptable, 'transport' or 'relocate' is more formal). You attempt to use specific vocabulary related to moving, which is good, but you should aim for more precise collocations to enhance the professional tone of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'Despite of having' (should be 'Despite having' or 'In spite of having'), 'everthing' (spelling), 'employess' (spelling), and 'my stuff does not fit' (tense inconsistency; should be 'did not fit'). Additionally, there is a lack of subject-verb agreement in places. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall accuracy of your writing.
