Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am so satisfied and feeling delighted to provide some feedback on the service, I recently received from your company, on 12th July. Overall, it was a great experience, the whole process efficient and fast.
I was quite stressed about moving my belongings to new apartment because most of them were fragile such as a dinning table, cutlery and vanity. However, your professional and determined employees helped to ensure everything remained safe during moving. The company's comprehensive packaging and wrapping methods vanished my worry.
I would particularly like to mention one of the movers, who went above and beyond to his duties to help me. The process was extremely efficient, left me with enough time to manage and organize my stuff in the new place. He spent some extra time to help me in unwrapping things and organizing them.
The only problematic thing that I noticed was the high price. I choose after carefully reviewing feedback on your website, which gained my trust. As the distance was just about 5km from my old place, I believe price is little high.
I hope this feedback helps to improve and grow your company.
Yours sincerely,
Rahul

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The letter successfully addresses all three bullet points of the prompt. You clearly explain the positive aspects of the move, praise a specific employee, and identify the high cost as a negative aspect. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter of feedback. The ideas are relevant and well-developed, providing enough detail to satisfy the requirements of the task. The purpose of the letter is clear from the beginning, and the closing is professional. To reach a higher band, ensure that the connection between the praise for the employee and the overall service is slightly more cohesive.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each point, and a polite conclusion. Paragraphing is used effectively to separate the different aspects of the feedback. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'However' and 'The only problematic thing', to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words. For example, the transition between the praise for the employee and the complaint about the price could be smoother to improve the overall progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task. Phrases like 'went above and beyond' and 'comprehensive packaging' are used effectively. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'vanished my worry' (should be 'alleviated my worry') and 'price is little high' (should be 'the price was a little high'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over collocations and articles to reach a higher band. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives would also enhance the quality of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'I am so satisfied and feeling delighted to provide' (should be 'I am pleased to provide'), 'most of them were fragile such as a dinning table' (should be 'such as the dining table'), and 'I choose after carefully reviewing' (should be 'I chose'). While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage, as you occasionally shift between present and past tenses when describing the event.
