Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The candidate has addressed all parts of the task prompt reasonably well. They explain what went well on the day by mentioning that the company took furniture like the 'chair, daining table, bed' and that they arrived after a few hours. They praise an employee, stating 'one of your comanies employee has realy kind heart he always talk to every person very politely.' Furthermore, they attempt to mention an aspect of dissatisfaction regarding timing or speed, noting 'when I was expect to them' and working quickly. However, the explanation of the negative aspect is slightly muddled and confusing, which prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Overall, the requirements of the prompt are covered, but development is limited by language constraints.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter lacks appropriate paragraphing, written mostly as a single block of text after the salutation, which heavily impacts overall cohesion. While basic cohesive devices and transition words are attempted (e.g., 'FIRST OF ALL', 'FURTHERMORE', 'HOWEVER'), their usage is sometimes mechanical or inaccurate. Logical progression is also hindered by sentence structure issues; for instance, the transition from explaining the move to praising the employee feels abrupt. Paragraphing is not used sufficiently to separate the distinct bullet points required in the task, resulting in a disorganized visual structure.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, reflecting a restricted range. Words like 'furniture', 'house', and 'work' are reused frequently without much synonym variation. There are also numerous spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'appartment', 'accommodtion', 'freind', 'membor', 'ites', 'comanies', 'realy', 'responsebilities', and 'consitency'. While the meaning is usually understandable despite these errors, the lexical resource struggles to go beyond basic adequacy, fitting the Band 5 profile where noticeable errors cause some difficulty for the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The grammatical range is quite limited, consisting mostly of simple and attempted complex sentences that contain frequent structural errors. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and missing articles (e.g., 'august 15th, I changed my appartment due to personal reason', 'they bring big van and all ites loaded on thier', 'that they could finish that work work in less one hours'). Punctuation is also problematic, particularly the overuse of commas for run-on sentences and the use of ALL CAPS throughout the response. Grammatical errors frequently impede smooth reading.
