Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing to provide you the feedback service that provided by your company to help me move the furniture to my new apartment.
First of all, thank you so much for your great service. Everything went so smoothly and perfect that I had nothing to worry much. Your packaging method is so safe that everything was delivered without any damage.
Everyone in your team is very kind and helpful to me, but of one your team member named Alex, helped me a lot in every situation. He was very flexible with his work and always came with a great solution. I would refer to others for your amazing service.
Everything went well except for one thing that, when it is time to load the furniture, your truck was not available at my accommodation on time. We had to wait extra two hours. It was inconvenient for me because I had to do other things on that day.
Kind regards,
AVi

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response successfully covers all bullet points outlined in the prompt. The writer explains what went well during the move, praising the safe packaging method ('Everything went so smoothly... Your packaging method is so safe'). Furthermore, an employee named Alex is singled out and praised for being helpful and flexible. Finally, the letter addresses the aspect of the service that was unsatisfactory, namely the delay of two hours regarding the truck's arrival ('your truck was not available at my accommodation on time'). The tone is appropriate for a formal complaint/feedback letter. All parts of the task are adequately addressed, leading to a solid band score for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is logically organised with a clear beginning, middle, and end, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different points, such as general satisfaction, employee praise, and the negative aspect regarding the delay. Cohesive devices are generally well managed, although some transitions feel slightly basic (e.g., 'First of all', 'Everything went well except for one thing'). Referencing is mostly clear, though the opening greeting contains a minor mechanical flaw ('Dear Sir' following the prompt's 'Dear Sir or Madam'). Overall cohesion is adequate for a clear, readable message.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate to convey the message, but it tends to be quite simple and repetitive (e.g., using 'went well' and 'great service' multiple times). There are some awkward collocations or phrasing issues, such as 'provide you the feedback service that provided by your company' instead of 'provide feedback on the service provided'. However, the writer does attempt some less common expressions like 'flexible with his work' and 'accommodation'. These lexical choices are sufficient for the task and do not impede communication, placing the response comfortably within the band 6 range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms (e.g., 'Everyone in your team is very kind and helpful to me, but of one your team member named Alex, helped me a lot'). However, there are several grammatical errors and awkward structures throughout the text, such as tense inconsistency ('when it is time to load' instead of 'when it was time') and preposition misuse ('of one your team member'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, and while these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede communication. The control of grammar aligns well with the band 6 descriptors.
