Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I hope your are doing well. I am writing this latter to let you know tha I am very happy with your services. It was really positive exprience.
The main reason that i like your services that it was very cheaper than other companies. Not only that but on the day we moved the house your staff was fully prepared with all the equipments and necessary items.
There was one employee name Madhav who was really polite and hard working. Other than that he managed time perfectly. I was really impressed by his work and loyalty as not a single thing was missing after we completely moved the furniture.
The only thing I was not satisfied with is that they did not completed the proper wrapping around the furniture as result, furnitures shining gets dulled. I hope this will improve next time.
Overall, I am very satisfied with your services.
Yours faithfully
Meet Vaghela

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The student successfully covers all the bullet points outlined in the prompt. The letter begins with an appropriate greeting, explains what went well on the day of the move (mentioning preparedness, equipment, and affordability), praises an employee named Madhav for his polite manner, hard work, and time management, and clearly mentions the negative aspect regarding the incomplete wrapping and dulled furniture finish. The tone is appropriate for a semi-formal removal company complaint/feedback letter. Ideas are sufficiently developed for a General Training Task 1 response. This performance aligns well with the Band 6.0 descriptors, as all parts of the task are addressed, although some areas such as the explanation of what went well could be slightly more extended.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is generally coherent and easy to follow, with an overall logical arrangement divided into clear paragraphs for introduction, positive points, employee praise, negative feedback, and conclusion. However, cohesive devices are somewhat basic and mechanical (e.g., 'Not only that but', 'Other than that', 'The only thing'). Referencing is mostly clear, but paragraphing could be managed a bit more smoothly. These characteristics place the response firmly in the Band 6.0 category, where the text presents a coherent overall arrangement even though cohesive devices can be faulty or repetitive.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'loyalty', 'equipments' (though grammatically incorrect here), and 'satisfied'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors, such as 'your are' (you are), 'latter' (letter), 'tha' (that), 'exprience' (experience), 'cheaper' (cheaper than -> more affordable), and 'furnitures shining gets dulled'. These errors do not impede communication, but they reflect the limitations typical of a Band 5.5 or 6.0 level. Band 6.0 is awarded because the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the message despite the spelling and collocation slips.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'The main reason that i like your services that it was very cheaper than other companies.' There are several grammatical and mechanical errors throughout the text, including punctuation and article omissions ('we moved the house', 'employee name Madhav', 'did not completed'). Spelling errors also spill over into grammatical perception. However, the meaning is generally clear and does not impede communication. This balance of a mix of structures alongside frequent minor errors fits the Band 6.0 descriptor nicely.
