Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to your company about the feedback recently I got your service because I have to move some stuff to my new house. I really fell glad; I hired you guys.
Through the email our schedule was fixed and you team arrived ten minutes prior our fixed timing. Most of my furniture was newly bought and it was made of tuffen. During starting I was scared but your team wrapped everything properly and they had sapecial equipment for ligting glass items.
I remeber there was one guy whose name is Pankaj, he was nice team leader, he encourage me when I was worried about my expensive goods. I already shows him my dining table was made from marbles and he took full responsibility of all the gadgets.
The one thing which is unfavourable, while I was waiting for them in my new compartment it is just 20 minutes drive from the previous address, but your team reached after an hour. I asked them they took wrong exit and they had to turn around the city and they were stuck in the traffic.
Thanks for your great service.
Your Sincerely
Ram

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response successfully covers all the required bullet points of the task. You effectively explained what went well by mentioning the timely arrival of the team and the proper wrapping of your newly bought furniture. You also praised a specific employee, Pankaj, noting how he encouraged you and took full responsibility for your valuables. Additionally, you mentioned an aspect of the service you were not happy with, specifically the delay in reaching your new apartment due to a wrong exit and traffic. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the tone is appropriate for a formal complaint or feedback letter, meeting the requirements of a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter maintains a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical narrative structure, moving from the initial booking and arrival to the employee praise and the final complaint. Paragraphing is attempted, though transitions between ideas are sometimes abrupt. Cohesive devices are basic and occasionally repetitive (e.g., using 'and' and 'while'), but referencing is mostly clear. While paragraph breaks could be better managed to separate distinct ideas more clearly, the progression of information remains understandable, fitting the descriptors for Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words and industry-specific terms such as 'equipment,' 'responsibility,' and 'gadgets.' However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice and spelling, such as 'fell glad' instead of 'felt glad,' 'tuffen' for toughened glass, 'sapecial' for special, 'remeber' for remember, and 'unfavourable' where 'disappointing' would be more natural. These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to Band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The letter includes a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'While I was waiting for them in my new compartment it is just 20 minutes drive from the previous address, but your team reached after an hour.' There are several grammatical errors and punctuation issues, including run-on sentences, missing prepositions ('recently I got your service'), and tense inconsistencies. However, despite these frequent errors, the meaning is generally clear and communication is rarely impeded, which aligns well with the criteria for Band 5.5.
