Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Enterprise movers,
I am writing to provide my feedback on your service that I used last week when I was moving my apartment.
I am so pleased with the service that you provided on the day of my moving. I thought it is going to be stressful when it comes to moving heavy furnitures that I have in my house but it went so smooth without any trouble.
All of the staff members were so helpful and understanding. However, I would especially like to mention about Mr. Smith he is a fantastic person he helped me to unterstand the whole process how I should pack my stuff so it becomes easy to organize later.
However, everything went well there are some aspects of the service that I am dissapointed with. On the day of moving I had to leave the house before 1pm but due to the delay I had to take all of my stuff out of the house. After that I was sitting outside with all my belongings for 1 hour.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Sonam Prajapati

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The student has successfully covered all parts of the task prompt. The letter begins appropriately, although with a slight discrepancy in the salutation compared to the prompt instructions. The writer clearly explains what went well on the moving day, noting that the removal of heavy furniture went smoothly without trouble. They successfully praise a specific employee, Mr. Smith, by mentioning his helpful guidance on packing processes. Additionally, the negative aspect of the service is clearly articulated regarding the delay and having to wait outside with belongings. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal complaint/feedback letter, and all bullet points are adequately addressed. Therefore, the response fulfills the requirements of Task Achievement at a band 6.5 level, tending towards band 7 due to clear coverage, but slightly limited in the depth of elaboration.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter exhibits a coherent overall arrangement with a clear chronological narrative of the moving day events. Paragraphing is used to separate different aspects of the feedback, such as the positive experience, the praise for the employee, and the negative aspect regarding the delay. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or repetitive, such as the repeated use of 'However' at the start of consecutive sentences ('However, I would especially...' and 'However, everything went well...'). Referencing is mostly clear, but transitions between paragraphs could be smoother to enhance the overall flow and logical progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for a general correspondence task, such as 'appreciate', 'process', and 'organize'. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, but these are accompanied by lexical errors and incorrect word forms, such as writing 'furnitures' (furniture is uncountable), 'dissapointed' (spelling error), and 'unterstand' (spelling error). Word choice is generally functional enough to ensure communication is not impeded, but the presence of basic spelling and grammatical form errors places this performance firmly in the band 6 range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'I thought it is going to be stressful when it comes to moving heavy furnitures that I have in my house...'. However, there are notable grammatical inaccuracies throughout the text, including tense consistency issues ('I thought it is going to be'), preposition errors ('mention about'), and missing articles. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but run-on structures occur, such as in 'Mr. Smith he is a fantastic person'. Despite these errors, meaning remains clear to the reader, aligning well with the band 6 descriptors for grammar.
