Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response covers all parts of the bullet points required by the prompt. You successfully explained what went well by mentioning that the move went smoothly and on time, praised an employee or the workers as being experienced and helpful, and pointed out an issue with the lifting machine not working properly. However, the development of these ideas is quite limited and simple, and the opening salutation and self-introduction ('I am Prabhjot singh writing a letter...') are somewhat unnatural for a formal complaint or feedback letter. Overall, the task is adequately addressed, placing it at Band 5.5.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The letter is organised into distinct paragraphs for each part of the prompt, showing some basic structure. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed due to abrupt transitions and missing or awkward cohesive devices, such as starting a paragraph with 'Other side, there are one issue'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear or mechanical (e.g., repeating 'that day' multiple times in the second paragraph). Paragraphing is present, but overall the flow lacks smoothness and logical connection. This aligns with the Band 5.0 descriptors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with several word choice and collocation errors (e.g., 'moving company for giving my feedback', 'My every single personal things are being moved', 'Your moving trucks are well and It have very spacious'). You attempt some less common vocabulary such as 'spacious' and 'experienced', but frequent errors in word formation and phrasing restrict the range and occasionally cause slight strain for the reader. This performance fits the Band 5.0 criteria.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text displays a very limited range of sentence structures, mostly relying on simple sentences with occasional basic attempts at complex forms. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, including missing articles ('starting of this month', 'on the time'), subject-verb agreement errors ('Your moving trucks are well and It have'), tense inconsistencies ('are being moved'), and punctuation errors. These frequent errors can cause some difficulty for the reader, which corresponds to a Band 5.0 score.
