Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear sir,
I am writing this letter to share my feedbacks on the service provided by your company on 28 september, 2026 for moving my furniture from jarg road to new apartment King george.
Basically,I booked this service on the recommendation of my close freind and i am satisfied with your help.Firstly,Team members were very punctual, they arrived on time that directly made my things go well.Secondaly, safety measures and handling procedures followed by them for all things were amazing as they followed practical and logical process of taking things from one place to another especially for glass items like dining and dressing tables.
To be more specific,I was surprised by the problem solving skills of Mr.Zain one of them.He had done moving by using techniques mainly for big electronic items. He also gave me advice regarding decoration stuff like LED lights for living area according to my apartment need.Aditionally,The thing I want to improve in your company is introducing new truck Hauls as staff member had to spend almost half an hour to start moving tucks that was totally waste of time.
Thanks for the service provided and considering my feedback.
Yours faithfully,
Zubairia

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The student covers all bullet points required by the prompt. The response explains what went well on the day of the move, such as the punctuality and the careful handling of fragile items like dining tables. It also successfully praises a helpful employee, mentioning Mr. Zain and his problem-solving skills, and points out an area of dissatisfaction regarding the removal trucks taking too long to start. The tone is appropriate for a semi-formal letter. Ideas are relevant and developed adequately to meet the demands of the task, earning a solid band 6.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter is generally coherent and follows a logical overall progression. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, positive aspects, the employee praise, the negative aspect, and the sign-off. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondaly', and 'To be more specific' are employed to guide the reader through the text, although some transitions feel slightly mechanical. Referencing is mostly clear, ensuring the reader can easily follow the sequence of ideas and feedback provided.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for a general correspondence task, including terms like 'punctual', 'safety measures', and 'problem solving skills'. However, there are some word choice and spelling errors, such as 'feedbacks' (which should be uncountable as 'feedback'), 'freind', and 'Secondaly'. Less common lexical items are attempted, but minor inaccuracies in spelling and collocation prevent the response from reaching a higher band. Overall, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended message clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The response displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses and conditional-like phrasing ('I booked this service on the recommendation...'). There are, however, several grammatical and punctuation errors throughout, including missing capitalization for proper nouns and days/months ('28 september', 'King george'), comma splices ('...punctual,they arrived...'), and minor tense slips. Despite these errors, meaning is rarely impeded, and the majority of simpler structures are accurate.
