Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to provide feedback on the service I recently received from your company. I really appreciate hard work and dedication of your employees. I felt happy on that day after receiving service as my all imported items, household things, cookery items everything place excatly on
same place by the end of the day.
I am satisfied with your fast, efficient and professional service. Additionally, Rahul and Akshay both
were work calmly and patiently. They both organized my living room furniture so beautifully without
any damage. Infact they properly followed my advise command. As well as took much care while
shifting fragile items.
I would like to drag your attention towards things that disappoint me is that some of your employees talked so rudely. However overall service was amazing.
I kindly request you if you could give training to all your employees prior services it would be great help.
Yours faithfully,
Bijal

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The letter effectively covers all three bullet points required by the task. You successfully explained what went well by mentioning how all imported items and household things were placed in their exact spots by the end of the day. You praised specific employees, Rahul and Akshay, noting their calm demeanor and careful handling of fragile items. Furthermore, you mentioned the negative aspect of the service, highlighting that some employees spoke rudely. The tone is appropriate for a formal complaint and feedback letter, and all parts of the prompt are fully addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall structure with an appropriate formal opening and closing. Ideas are logically grouped into paragraphs, addressing positive feedback, the employee praise, the complaint, and finally a suggestion for improvement. Cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'Infact', and 'However' are used, although referencing and linking can sometimes feel slightly mechanical. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate distinct ideas, ensuring the letter is easy to follow and progress is clear throughout.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'dedication', 'professional service', and 'fragile items'. However, there are notable word choice and collocation errors, such as writing 'cookery items everything place excatly on same place' and 'advised command' instead of 'instructions' or 'advice'. Spelling errors also occur, such as 'excatly' and 'Infact'. While these do not impede overall communication, they prevent the lexical score from reaching higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence forms attempted in your writing, such as 'I kindly request you if you could give training...'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasings, including missing prepositions and incorrect verb forms like 'Rahul and Akshay both were work calmly'. Punctuation is also sometimes neglected around introductory phrases. These errors require the reader to occasionally pause, though the intended meaning remains understandable.
