Student answer (Band 5.5)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I hope you are fine.
Recently removal company contact me for the feedback of the services regarding the movement of furniture and possessions to the new apartment, As per the comitment by the company the workers arrived on time to move the house, the workers handle everything with care that it shows the professionalism.
One thing that make me a little disturb is that a clean possession was decided by the company but when we reached on-site the workers try to delay the whole clean possession of the apartment.
However the good thing was that your company's supervisior was there who was a sensible person and understand whole matter with clear mindset to make the clean possession of the apartment possible.
The whole credit goes to that supervisor for handling the complete sitution from moving furniture to possession of new apartment. 4/5 is my experience.
Thanks and regards.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You successfully address all parts of the prompt by explaining what went well, praising a helpful employee, and mentioning an aspect of the service you were not happy with, such as the delay regarding the clean possession of the apartment. However, some parts of your response are somewhat under-developed or less fully explained. For instance, the mention of what went well, that the workers arrived on time and handled everything with care, is quite brief. To reach a higher level, you would need to extend and support your ideas more fully, providing clearer details about the positive aspects of the service while maintaining a consistent tone appropriate for a formal letter of feedback.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
Your letter has a coherent overall arrangement, and the reader can easily follow the sequence of events from the arrival of the workers to the final resolution by the supervisor. You use basic paragraphing to separate your main points, which helps structure the letter. Nevertheless, the use of cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty, as seen in your run-on sentences and punctuation choices, such as comma splices in phrases like 'workers handle everything with care that it shows the professionalism.' To improve further, you should ensure that your sentences are linked more smoothly with appropriate cohesive devices and clearer referencing, ensuring a more natural logical progression throughout the text.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common phrases such as 'professionalism' and 'sensible person'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and collocation that occasionally draw the reader's attention, such as writing 'clean possession' instead of a clean or vacant apartment handover, and 'sitution' instead of 'situation'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they limit your lexical score. To move up to a higher band, you need to use a wider and more precise range of vocabulary with fewer errors in word formation and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms to convey your message, and your meaning is generally clear despite the errors. There are, however, some grammar and punctuation errors present, such as tense inconsistencies in 'Recently removal company contact me' instead of 'contacted', and missing articles like 'the' before 'feedback' and 'supervisor'. Because these errors occur alongside faulty attempts at complex structures, your writing sits comfortably at this level. To achieve a higher band, you must increase your range of error-free sentences and demonstrate better control over verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles.
