Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my statisfaction about moving services I get from your company and I also want to thank you and all the other staff members who made my moving effortless.

I booked you to move my stuff from my old house to new appartment on the last sunday, I felt delighted after chossing your comapny as it provides extereme customer statisfaction. Your all employees were humbled and helpful speacially, John. He packed my furtinure items such as glass coffee tables, mirrors very carfully, which helps to keep my sutff safe and secure during moving time.

There is only one thing which went wrong is the appointmnet timming, I booked you from 8:00am to 5:00pm for moving, but your crew showed up late on that day. Due to this, I faced difficulty to manage my other appointmnets. Apart from it, my overall experience with you guys were amazing.Once again thank you so much for your help.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response successfully covers all the bullet points required in the task instructions. You clearly explain what went well on the day of the move, praise a specific employee named John who was particularly helpful, and mention the aspect of the service you were not happy with, which was the timing of the appointment. Your message is communicated with an appropriate semi-formal tone. However, to achieve a higher band, the ideas could be more fully developed and extended with richer detail rather than stated quite briefly. For instance, the mention of the late crew could be expanded to explain precisely how your subsequent appointments were impacted. Because you successfully meet all the core requirements while showing some elements of fuller development, the response sits comfortably within this band.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

Your letter has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear structure, beginning with an appropriate salutation and concluding with a sign-off. You divide your thoughts into logical paragraphs, separating your positive feedback from your criticism about the timing. However, the cohesion between sentences is sometimes mechanical or basic, relying on simple connectors like 'and' or 'but' rather than a smoother variety of cohesive devices. Referencing is generally clear, though transitional phrases could be more sophisticated to establish a seamless flow of ideas. To reach the next band, you would need to demonstrate more skillful management of paragraph transitions and a wider, more flexible range of cohesive devices throughout the entire text.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use an adequate vocabulary range for the task, successfully attempting less common items and communicating your message clearly despite some noticeable errors. You manage to describe the packing process and express your opinions effectively. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'statisfaction' instead of 'satisfaction', 'appartment' instead of 'apartment', 'chossing' instead of 'choosing', 'extereme' instead of 'extreme', 'speacially' instead of 'especially', and 'furtinure' instead of 'furniture'. Additionally, there are minor word choice and collocation inaccuracies, such as writing 'services I get' instead of 'services I received' and 'appointmnet timming' instead of 'appointment timing'. These lexical slips prevent you from achieving a higher band descriptor.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, successfully constructing sentences to convey your experiences and complaints. There are some grammatical errors and punctuation issues present, such as comma splices where independent clauses are joined improperly, for example, 'I booked you from 8:00am to 5:00pm for moving, but your crew showed up late on that day.' Other errors include tense inconsistencies and articles, such as 'on the last sunday' instead of 'last Sunday' and 'my overall experience with you guys were amazing' where the verb agreement is incorrect. These errors rarely impede overall communication, but they do prevent the response from achieving a higher band that requires more frequent error-free sentences and tighter control over complex structures.
