Student answer (Band 5.5)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writng to give my feedback of your services, which I took last week.
Firstly. I would appreciate it that all items moved safely. I was worried about the mirror because of it's size but fortunately it moved nicely by your profession team.
Furthermore, I would like to mention here that, your employees are well trained and professional. They packed every thing with nice manners. They did thier job efficiently and at fast pace, as a result it took only three hours to move all the furniture to our new apartment.
Only one thing from which I felt disppointment that they came late as per their given schedule. I had to wait two hours. This is the only thing from which I was not satisfied.
I would appreciate all the efforts and help for your company. I hope you will consider my views.
Yours sincerely.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response covers all parts of the task prompt, addressing what went well, praising an employee, and mentioning the aspect of the service that caused dissatisfaction, which places it at this level. However, the development of these points is rather limited and lacks depth. For instance, the praise for the employee is generalized across the team rather than focusing on a specific individual as requested, and the explanation of what went well remains quite basic. To move towards higher bands, you should ensure that every bullet point is fully expanded with specific details, clearly distinguishing individual contributions from general team efforts and elaborating further on your experiences.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter maintains a clear overall arrangement with an appropriate formal opening and closing. Information and ideas are generally presented in a logical sequence, moving smoothly from the initial introduction to the positive aspects, the complaint, and finally the concluding remarks. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate distinct topics. However, cohesion relies on somewhat mechanical transitions such as 'Firstly' and 'Furthermore', and referencing is occasionally imprecise. To achieve a higher band, you could employ a wider and more flexible range of cohesive devices and ensure that referencing between sentences is smoother and more natural throughout the text.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, containing enough common terms to convey your message. There are noticeable attempts to use less common items, such as 'profession team' and 'disppointment', but these are accompanied by errors in word form, choice, and spelling. For example, 'profession' should be the adjective 'professional', and 'disppointment' contains a spelling error. While these minor lexical slips do not seriously impede communication, they restrict the vocabulary score. To improve, focus on precise word choices, accurate word forms, and careful proofreading to eliminate spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms, such as 'I was worried about the mirror because of its size...'. There are several grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the text, including tense issues like 'I am writng', unnecessary punctuation like 'Firstly. I would appreciate it that', and possessive errors such as 'it's size' instead of 'its'. Although these errors are present, they rarely impede overall communication. To reach higher bands, you should aim to increase the proportion of error-free complex sentences and pay closer attention to punctuation rules, subject-verb agreement, and correct prepositions.
