Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. I got an email from the feedback department of your company. They are interested to take my reviews pertaining to the last service I took in the moving of my whole apartment including the furniture, and so on. I must say that it was a good and well-organised move. Your movers are professional and trained. They helped in making my day less stressful. Moreover, they are very kind and cooperative in their nature. I would like to mention an employee, John, among your team who was really mindful and helpful. He helped us in the packing some of our boxes, that was not included in his scope of work without any question asked.
In contrast, i feel that there is an aspect of service which need some improvement, such as their team arrived a little bit late in the morning. For thereason, it took us upto midnight in arranging all of our stuff.
I hope you find this suggestion helpful.
Regards,
ABC

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three requested points and maintain a suitably polite, generally positive tone. The successful organisation of the move is described, and John is praised with a specific example: he helped pack boxes beyond his assigned duties. You also identify the late arrival as the main problem and explain its consequence, that unpacking and arranging possessions continued until midnight. These details make the response relevant and give your feedback a clear purpose. To make the ideas more fully developed, specify what was particularly well organised—for example, how the team handled or protected the furniture—and explain more precisely how the delay affected your plans. The opening also refers to receiving an email, which is not necessary to the feedback itself.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall shape: it begins with the reason for writing, moves to praise, introduces the complaint with “In contrast,” and closes politely. The paragraph break before the criticism helps distinguish the positive and negative feedback. Some linking and reference choices, however, feel mechanical or unclear. “Moreover” adds a general point rather than developing a specific detail, while “For the reason” does not clearly connect the late arrival to the time spent arranging belongings. The first paragraph also combines the purpose, general praise, and John’s example in one long block. Use a separate paragraph for the complaint and make the cause-and-effect link explicit, such as “Because the team arrived late, we had to continue unpacking until midnight.”
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for giving feedback and includes useful expressions such as “well-organised,” “less stressful,” and “particularly helpful.” The meaning remains clear, but some choices are unnatural or imprecise, which limits the flexibility and control of the vocabulary. For example, “take my reviews” and “the last service I took” do not sound natural in this context; “provide feedback” and “used your service” would be more idiomatic. “Mindful” is not the best word for describing an employee’s practical helpfulness, and “in their nature” is an awkward collocation. Check spelling and spacing as well: “i” should be capitalised, and “For thereason” needs a space. Aim for precise, natural phrases rather than formal-sounding wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including “I hope this letter finds you in good health” and a relative clause describing John’s help. Most errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, but some grammatical problems remain. In “They are interested to take my reviews,” the verb pattern should be “interested in receiving my feedback.” “He helped us in the packing some of our boxes” needs a corrected construction, such as “He helped us pack some of our boxes.” There are also agreement and tense issues in “there is an aspect … which need some improvement”; use “there is an aspect … that needs improvement.” Capitalise “I,” and revise “it took us upto midnight in arranging” to “we spent until midnight arranging.”
