Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir/Madam,
Hope you are doing well. You asked my feedack regarding the services I availed form your company to shift my house stuff to my new place. The services was really great in gernal but there was few mishaps during the furniture transition. But my overall experience with your services went really well.
The best part of the services was the time and the professional behaviour your stuff bring to my place, because I was so worried what if they came late and I had alot of the stuff to pack. The way your employess arrange the stuff into separate boxes and labled them accordinly, it makes my have of the arranging easy. They open the furniture with grate care and place all the crews in the sip bag and label them too so I can arrange the furniture back with no worries about what need to place where. It's like a child guide for me.
Also the great thing how they handle the fragile things. I remembered, I was so worried about my glassware but one of the member named Harry in your crew handled it with percise care. He packed all the fragile stuff boxes with the foam so they can't be damaged at all.
Although everything went really great and well organized, but one thing from which I'm not statisficed it the placment of the furniture into the truck. They put the pieces of my bed under the other stuff boxes, which place some scraches on the furniture.
I hope you arrange some training on the placement order too. Overall I'm happy with your services and your crew.
Best Regards,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.5
You address all three requested points and maintain an appropriate, generally positive tone for a feedback letter. You explain that the crew arrived on time, packed and labelled items carefully, and protected fragile glassware; you also identify Harry by name and describe his careful packing. The complaint about bed pieces being placed beneath boxes, resulting in scratches, is specific, and your request for training gives the letter a clear purpose. These details extend and support your main points. To make the response more fully developed, clarify the extent of the damage or what resolution you would like, and make the opening and closing slightly more formal and polished. Overall, the task is clearly addressed with a consistent position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall sequence: general feedback, positive details about the moving crew, praise for Harry, and then the problem and a suggestion. Paragraphing helps distinguish these points, and transitions such as “Also” and “Although” guide the reader. This gives the response a coherent structure. However, some links are mechanical or awkward, particularly “Although everything went really great and well organized, but…”, where the contrast is signalled twice. The opening also moves quickly from general praise to mishaps without a smooth connection. Improve progression by using one clear contrast marker and linking each paragraph more naturally; clearer references to “the crew” or “the furniture” would also make a few sentences easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for a removal-service letter, including “fragile,” “foam,” “label,” and “scratches,” and you convey the main events despite errors. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “placement of the furniture into the truck.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “feedack,” “stuff,” “sip bag,” and “not statisficed.” Some combinations are unnatural, such as “furniture transition” and “child guide,” which can make the reader pause to infer your meaning. Choose more precise terms such as “belongings,” “move,” “screw bag,” and “satisfied,” and check spelling carefully. More accurate collocations would make the account clearer and more professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mixture of simple and longer sentences, including explanations with “because” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” The main events remain understandable, but errors occur across sentence structures and verb forms, and some longer sentences are difficult to process. For example, “The services was” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “the time and the professional behaviour your stuff bring” lacks a clear grammatical structure and uses an inconsistent verb form. “They open the furniture” also shifts tense within a past account. There are problems with articles and sentence boundaries as well. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add a subordinate clause; consistent past-tense forms and careful agreement would improve control.
