Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 2.5
The letter begins appropriately and gives one relevant positive point: the team’s punctuality and professionalism. However, it does not explain in any detail what went well during the move, identify or praise a particularly helpful employee, or mention any aspect of the service that was unsatisfactory. These are all required parts of the task, so the response addresses it only minimally. The final phrase, “manage time s,” is incomplete and does not develop the positive feedback. The response is also 44 words, below the required minimum of 150, leaving too little space to cover the requested points. To improve, describe a specific success, name or identify the helpful employee and explain their contribution, and clearly state one problem with the service.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The opening sentence establishes the purpose of the letter, and “In addition to this” attempts to connect a further point. However, the response ends abruptly with “professionalmanage time s,” so the second idea is unfinished and the reader cannot follow its intended meaning. There is no clear progression beyond the opening and one brief positive comment, and the letter has no paragraphing to separate its points. The basic letter format is appropriate, but cohesion is limited because the ideas are not fully expressed or linked. Organise the response into a short opening, a paragraph describing what went well and the helpful employee, and a final paragraph explaining the service issue and closing politely.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses a few relevant words for the situation, including “team,” “moving,” “punctuality,” and “professional,” so the general topic is clear. However, the vocabulary range is very limited, and some choices or forms are inaccurate: “appreciate the work” is less natural here than “compliment the service” or “thank your team,” while “new place” would be clearer as “new apartment.” “Puntuality” is misspelled, and “professionalmanage” appears to combine words, making the ending difficult to understand. Use precise moving-related language such as “handled my belongings carefully,” “arrived on schedule,” and “a damaged item” to express both praise and a complaint clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response includes simple sentence forms, and the opening sentence communicates its basic purpose. However, grammatical control is uneven: “to new place” is missing a determiner, and “i like the puntuality of team everyone is on time” joins clauses without suitable punctuation or a conjunction. The final sequence, “they all are professionalmanage time s,” is incomplete and does not form a clear sentence. The range is also very narrow, with no developed complex structures. Practise writing complete sentences with clear subject–verb relationships, for example, “The team arrived on time, and the staff managed the move efficiently.” Check capitalisation and punctuation, and ensure each sentence expresses one complete idea.
