Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir,
I hope you are doing well! I am writing this letter to provide a detailed review of the service provided by your company. Thank you for providing timely service.
To begin with, I had given your team a detailed instructions for moving from my old place to the new apartment and I am amazed by the teams effort. They performed their job remarkably well.
Furthermore, there is one employee who went above and beyond my expectations. His name is "Robert". He was very kind and helpful. Also, I had awarded him with an addtional tip for his extraordinatory job.
Moreover, there is one aspect I wanted to discuss that one of your employee had dropped few glasses while performing his duties. Although, he cleaned it but it created a mess and caused damage to the other vessels near by. I didn't deduct his compensation beacuse I understand these things can occur while moving.
Your sincerely,
Manav

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: the move went well overall, Robert was especially helpful, and you describe a problem with broken glasses and nearby vessels. The positive details, such as the team performing well and Robert receiving an extra tip, make the feedback relevant and clear. However, some points are less fully developed: the successful move is described quite generally, and the damage complaint could explain more precisely what outcome or response you would have preferred. The comment that you did not deduct the employee’s compensation is also somewhat unclear as feedback to the company. More specific details and a clearer statement of your concern would make the letter more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement, moving from general appreciation to the team’s performance, Robert’s contribution, and finally the problem. Paragraphing helps the reader distinguish these points, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “Moreover” make the progression easy to follow. At times, however, these transitions feel mechanical because several paragraphs begin with similar formal connectors. The sentence introducing the complaint—“there is one aspect I wanted to discuss that…”—also makes the relationship between ideas less smooth, while “Although, he cleaned it” does not connect the contrast accurately. Use simpler transitions and clearer references to the employee and the damaged items to make cohesion more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range for a service-feedback letter, including positive expressions such as “timely service,” “went above and beyond,” and “remarkably well.” These help convey appreciation, and the meaning remains clear despite some inaccurate choices. There are spelling errors in “addtional,” “extraordinatory,” and “beacuse,” and some phrasing is not quite natural, such as “awarded him with an additional tip” and “near by.” “Detailed instructions” is also an awkward fit for the intended meaning. Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, particularly when describing the employee’s reward and the damage. This would make the vocabulary more precise and polished without requiring more elaborate wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple sentences and more complex forms, including “Although he cleaned it, it created a mess” and the relative clause “who went above and beyond my expectations.” Most ideas are understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “I had given your team a detailed instructions” has an article and number mismatch; “one of your employee had dropped few glasses” needs plural agreement and an article; and “Although, he cleaned it” uses punctuation that separates the concessive clause incorrectly. The closing “Your sincerely” also has an incorrect form. Review articles, singular and plural agreement, and punctuation around subordinate clauses. Greater accuracy in these areas would strengthen control while preserving your sentence variety.
