Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing formally regarding your services which I have used recently to move my furniture in to my new residence and I am glad to provide you with the feedback as requested.
Last week, I have used Aris Company and logists to shift my furniture and possessions and I am really satisfied with your services, as everything was well-organised and moved with extra precautionary measures. The thing that inspired me the most is the high- quality materials which was used to packed the crockery and delicate items which made the whole process very smooth. I really want to appreciate the cooperative attitude of your employees especially, the one who made the list of all the things and after moving he made sure that every product is there at my new place.
One thing that needs your attention is the delay of half an hour, the team arrived late which has caused a huge trouble as I had to miss my important business meeting. I want you to make the employees more punctual which would be beneficial in the long run. Overall the services were up-to-mark and I will recommend your company to my colleagues and family members.
I hope you will consider my opinion.
Yours faithfully,
Albert Alice

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three requested points: you describe the move as organised and careful, praise the employee who checked the inventory, and explain that the team’s late arrival caused you to miss a business meeting. The complaint is specific, and your overall satisfaction and recommendation make your position clear. The positive details about packing and checking possessions also support your feedback rather than merely listing opinions. To make the response more fully developed, identify the helpful employee by name or describe a particular action in more detail, and explain briefly what remedy or change you would expect regarding punctuality. The company name is also unclear in “Aris Company and logists,” so ensure the recipient can identify the service you used.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear progression: an opening that states its purpose, a paragraph covering the successful aspects and helpful employee, a paragraph raising the delay, and a polite closing. Linking expressions such as “as,” “especially,” and “Overall” help show how the details relate to your evaluation. The main ideas are easy to follow, and the paragraphing suits a formal feedback letter. Some sentences, however, carry several points at once, particularly the long sentence about the employee making a list and checking the items after the move. Breaking this into shorter units would make the sequence of actions clearer. A few transitions are also slightly mechanical; more direct links between the praise and the specific example would make the flow smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.5
You use a suitable range of vocabulary for a formal service review, including “well-organised,” “precautionary measures,” “delicate items,” and “punctual.” These choices communicate the main points clearly, and phrases such as “cooperative attitude” and “business meeting” fit the context. There is also some attempt to use less common language, but several combinations are not natural or precise: “extra precautionary measures,” “high-quality materials which was used to packed,” and “up-to-mark.” The company name phrase “Aris Company and logists” is also unclear. These inaccuracies do not prevent understanding, but they limit the naturalness and flexibility of the vocabulary. Prefer established collocations and check word forms and spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as” and “which,” and the message remains understandable. However, some errors in tense, agreement, verb form, articles, and punctuation keep the grammar from being consistently controlled. For example, “Last week, I have used” should use a past simple form, while “materials which was” has a subject–verb agreement error. In “used to packed,” the verb pattern is incorrect, and “move my furniture in to my new residence” has an incorrect preposition form. The sentence beginning “One thing that needs your attention” also joins ideas with a comma where stronger punctuation would help. Review these patterns and divide long sentences to improve accuracy.
