Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the main points by describing the team’s work, praising a worker, and reporting damage to a table corner. The specific complaint gives the letter a relevant purpose, and you also express appreciation for the move being handled on time. However, the positive feedback is often general: phrases such as “great team work” and “hardworker” do not explain clearly what the employee did that was particularly helpful. The damage is mentioned, but the account is unclear about how serious it was or what response you expect from the company. Develop these details and make your purpose and requested follow-up clearer so that all parts of the task are fully addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic sequence: it begins with praise, moves to the employee and team, and then introduces the problem. This gives the reader some sense of the letter’s overall direction. However, ideas within paragraphs are often repetitive or loosely connected. For example, “doing fast work” and “work of doing fast work” repeat the same point, while “consequently” does not connect the damage to the preceding idea clearly. Paragraphing is present, but the opening paragraph combines several different points without a clear progression. Organise the letter into distinct sections for the overall service, the helpful employee, and the damage, and use linking phrases only where they clarify the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of positive and negative vocabulary, including “trustworthy,” “ambitious,” “potential,” and “disappoint,” and the reader can identify your general evaluation of the service. However, many choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the message difficult to interpret. For instance, “I trust on you,” “courageful,” and “demerit other expensive things” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Repeated use of “work” and “great” also limits precision. Choose common, accurate collocations for a formal feedback letter, such as describing staff as “professional” or “careful,” and explain the damage as “a small chip” or “damage to the corner of my table.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The letter includes mostly simple statements and a few attempts to connect ideas, such as “I’m little bit disappoint … consequently they harm little corner of my table.” These attempts show some effort to form longer sentences, but control is weak and errors frequently affect clarity. Examples include “your team are,” “I m satisfy,” and “your worker who are,” which show problems with agreement and verb forms. Articles and sentence boundaries are also often missing or unclear, as in “harm little corner of my table.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including lowercase “i” and run-on sequences. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then combine them with clear clauses using correct subjects, verbs, and punctuation.
