Student answer (Band 5.5)
Dear Sir,
Hope you are doing well. I recently contected with your company to help me to move my furniture and possessions to my new apartment. I want to appereciate you and your company workers. The work of your company workers is really impressive. There was alot of work to do but they ended up just in a day. this is quite impressive. They came up early in the morning and done all that in a well mannered way. I don't imagine that this will go this much smoothly.
I want to appereciate one of your worker John, he is very hardworking boy. He packed all of my fragile products in the best way that they do not broke. He shifted all of mine crockery items and all other ceramic products. All the shifting was done too smoothly.
But there is one thing I want to say that the behaviour of some workers was very rude. They were fighting with each other.
Yours truly,
Zeeshan Khadim.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: the move was completed in a day, John handled fragile belongings carefully, and some workers behaved rudely and argued. These details make the letter relevant and give the company useful feedback. The praise for the team is clear, but the complaint is brief and could explain its effect—for example, whether the arguments disrupted the move or made you uncomfortable. The opening also says “Dear Sir,” rather than using the specified “Dear Sir or Madam,” and the purpose could be stated more directly. Developing the less detailed points and making the feedback more specific would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The information follows a sensible order: you describe the overall service, single out John, and then raise a concern. Paragraph breaks help distinguish the praise from the complaint, and the reader can follow the main message. This meets the lower-band expectation of a coherent overall arrangement and shows some progression. However, links between sentences are sometimes abrupt, as in “this is quite impressive” after the workers finished in a day, and repeated references to “I want to appreciate” make the flow feel mechanical. Use clearer transitions and combine closely related details—for example, the workers’ early arrival and efficient completion—so the letter reads more smoothly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main points, with relevant terms such as “fragile products,” “ceramic products,” and “rude.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-choice, and collocation errors reduce naturalness: “contected,” “appereciate,” “alot,” and “in a well mannered way.” Phrases such as “hardworking boy” and “crockery items” are also awkward in this context. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, but they make the letter less polished. Aim for accurate, natural service-related expressions and check spelling carefully, especially in repeated key words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use mostly simple sentences, with some attempts to connect ideas, so the message remains understandable. However, the range of structures is limited, and errors occur in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries. For example, “they came up early … and done all that” needs a consistent past-tense form, while “He packed … in the best way that they do not broke” has an unclear clause and incorrect verb forms. The lowercase “this” after a full stop also shows a punctuation and capitalization issue. Practise accurate past-tense narration and build a few controlled complex sentences, such as explaining how John’s careful packing protected your belongings.
