Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to provide you feedback on the removal service, I recently used for moving to new house.
Overall, I was fully satisfied with the service provided by your company. The team arrived on time and start their work without wasting a single minute. All belongings and furtiniture was delivered on estimated time and everthing was handled with care.
I personally praise one of your emlpoyee named Mr Rajat, he helped us to pack our stuff and gusde us, how to pack fragile items and doing protective packaging. His polite attituse and helping nature made the experiance stress free for us.
However, I was unstified with cleainliness of moving truck. When we started load truck with our stuff, it contains a lot of dust on it and have bad aroma inside the trailer. Your workers need to wipe down the trailer several time before loading stuff.
Despite the minor issues, You team work very well and I apericate all of them.
Your faithfully,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The letter addresses all three requested points: it describes punctual arrival and careful handling, identifies Mr Rajat’s help with packing fragile items, and raises the truck’s cleanliness and smell. The overall tone is appropriately appreciative while still making the complaint clear, and the closing reinforces this balanced position. The praise is supported with specific details about guidance and protective packing, while the criticism explains what the workers should have done. To strengthen the response further, make the feedback more precise and professional—for example, clarify whether the truck was dusty before loading and state what action you would like the company to take. The task is fully covered, though some details could be developed more clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The information is organised in a clear sequence: opening purpose, positive aspects, praise for an employee, a concern, and a concluding comment. Separate paragraphs help the reader follow each part of the feedback, and transitions such as “Overall,” “However,” and “Despite the minor issues” make the change in stance easy to understand. The progression is logical throughout. Some links within sentences are less controlled, particularly in the description of Mr Rajat’s help and the truck, so the reader has to work slightly to connect the actions and details. Use complete, clearly linked sentences and check that pronouns such as “them” have an unmistakable reference. This would make the cohesion more consistently smooth.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “belongings,” “fragile items,” “protective packaging,” and “stress free,” and the reader can understand the main points. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable, including “furtiniture,” “emlpoyee,” “unstified,” and “cleainliness.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise: “bad aroma” is less suitable for a truck than “unpleasant smell,” and “fully satisfied” sits awkwardly beside the later complaint. These issues limit the precision and control of the vocabulary. Proofread carefully and choose common, natural collocations for customer feedback; this will make the letter sound more fluent and professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The letter includes both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, such as “When we started load truck with our stuff” and “Despite the minor issues.” The intended meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect fluency. For example, “the team arrived on time and start their work” should keep the verbs in the same tense, while “All belongings and furniture was delivered” needs plural agreement. The opening also joins two independent ideas with a comma. Practise building accurate sentences first, then add complexity; check past-tense consistency, subject–verb agreement, and sentence boundaries during proofreading.
