Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir/Mam,
My name is krishnkant Sharma and I am wirting this letter express my sincere gratitufe for the recent services I accquired from your company for moving of my thing to old house to new one.
The shifting of the houses took place on the last week of pervious month, where on th moving day everything done in very smooth and professional way. Your team arrive at the decided time at my old house, did all the packing by themselves and also mentioned"fraglie" on all the brokeable items. They loaded and in the big truck with a proper arrangement and dropped everything to my another house.
Futhermore, I would like to bring your attention towards your team manager, who was especially the nicest person i have ever met. He was very humble and attentive while lensting to their cilents requirements and provide necessary suggestions whenever is required.
Although, everything went smooth, but there just one thing that I wasn't very much happy and I thought to share with you. Your team loaded the all the items properly from home but the driver driving was too rush to reach at perfect time and unfortunately due to some medical emegency your team manager has to left. I have to call him and explain the situation to make sure that everything in truck stays good and doesn't get affected because of the your driver mistake and he managed everything perfectly on the phone and also asked driver to drive carfeully.
I am really happy and satisfied with you all services and would like to recommend your company for packing and moving to all my friends and family.
Your Faithfully,
Krishnkant Sharma

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: you describe the team arriving on time and packing carefully, praise the manager’s attentiveness, and explain your concern about the driver’s rushed driving. The letter also has an appropriate purpose and a positive closing recommendation. The main limitation is that some details are unclear or not fully developed. For example, the account of the driver’s behaviour and the manager’s medical emergency is difficult to follow, so the specific service problem and its impact are not explained as clearly as they could be. The praise is relevant, but would be stronger with one concrete example of how the manager helped you. Clearer, more focused development of these points would make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a generally sensible structure: it opens with the reason for writing, describes the moving day, praises the manager, raises a concern, and ends with a recommendation. Paragraphing helps distinguish these functions, and transitions such as “Furthermore” and “Although” show an effort to connect ideas. However, cohesion is sometimes awkward or unclear. The long paragraph beginning “Although, everything went smooth” combines the driver’s conduct, the manager’s departure, your phone call, and the resolution, making the sequence hard to track. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically or inaccurately, and references such as “everything” and “he” could be clearer. Shorter sentences and a more chronological account would improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of vocabulary relevant to moving services, including “packing,” “fragile,” “proper arrangement,” “attentive,” and “recommend.” These choices help communicate the main events and your overall satisfaction. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are noticeable, for example “gratitufe,” “acquired,” “pervious,” and “emegency.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “moving of my thing,” “the nicest person,” and “drive carfeully.” These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; more precise wording will help you express both the praise and the complaint clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “Although” and a relative clause in “who was especially the nicest person.” This shows some range, and the overall message remains understandable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences. Examples include “I am … writing this letter express,” “everything done,” and “Your team arrive,” where verb forms or sentence structure are incomplete or incorrect. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and clause construction, as in “the driver driving was too rush” and “your team manager has to left.” These errors can make relationships between events difficult to follow. Build accuracy with shorter sentence patterns before combining ideas into complex sentences.
