Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope you are doing well.
I wanted to provide my feedback regarding my experience with your company. Recently, i bought my first apartment and had to move my furniture there and for which your company was contacted. I found out about your company through social media advertisement and read all the reviews. While i was going though the reviews, i noticed most of them very highly positive which made me choose your company to get my services done.
My apointment was scheduled with your team at 10:00 AM Sunday and the team arrived right on time. They marked all the items in the house and wrapped them in a sheet safetly first so that that when the furniture is being moved, it does not get dirty. After this all the furniture was moved to the vehicle and was safetly moved to the new apartment and the team helped me with the setting the furniture as well which is highly appreciate. I'm gald that i took the services and very statisfied as well and i would definetly recommend this to other whenever they need help with furniture movement.
I specifically would like to praise your employee John. He made sure all the furniture was wrapped, packed properly and when moved to the apartment, it was not damaged as well. He guided the team to separted the sensitive items and how to carry them as well. He was really polite and expert in his work.
The only aspect i would want you to improve his your social media account as when i looked for your page, i could not find much content there. Your work is amazing but i believe it is not provide justice to the work your team does and the content is a bit confusing as well. Overall, my experience with your company has been amazing and would recommend this to everyone.
Best regards,
Rimsha J.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three requested points: you describe punctual arrival, careful wrapping and furniture setup; praise John’s care and guidance; and identify the social-media page as an area for improvement. The positive and negative feedback are clear, and the letter maintains an appropriate, courteous purpose. The moving-day details and John’s contribution are supported with specific examples, such as separating sensitive items. The criticism is also relevant, though “not much content” and “a bit confusing” could be made more precise by explaining what information was missing or unclear. Developing this final point more fully would make the response more consistently detailed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: an opening, a paragraph about the move, a separate paragraph praising John, and a final paragraph giving criticism and a conclusion. This makes the main points easy to locate. You also use linking expressions such as “After this,” “as well,” and “Overall.” However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “and for which your company was contacted” makes the opening difficult to follow, while repeated use of “as well” weakens the flow. The final paragraph combines the complaint with a broad recommendation, and the long moving-day paragraph contains several stages at once. Use clearer transitions and divide or streamline ideas to improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the situation and give relevant detail, including “wrapped,” “sensitive items,” “guided the team,” and “polite.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word combinations are noticeable, which limits the accuracy and range of your vocabulary. Examples include “apointment,” “safetly,” “statisified,” and “furniture movement”; the last phrase would sound more natural as “moving furniture.” Some expressions are also awkward, such as “get my services done” and “does not provide justice to the work.” Proofread spelling carefully and choose more natural collocations. More precise language for the website criticism would also help you express your meaning clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “while,” “so that,” and “when,” and the message remains understandable. Some grammatical errors occur, particularly in sentence construction and verb forms. For example, “I noticed most of them very highly positive” is missing a verb, and “which is highly appreciate” does not use the correct verb form. The opening sentence about buying the apartment and contacting the company is also awkwardly structured, while “the only aspect i would want you to improve his your social media account” contains an unclear clause structure. Capitalisation of “I” is inconsistent, and some sentences run together. Review complete clause structure, verb forms, and punctuation, then edit long sentences for clarity.
