Dear Sir,

Hope you are well. I recently used company services to help me move my furniture and possessions to my new apartment. It went quite well, and it took only few hours which was very much appreciated by me.

I appreciate all your staff for their hard work and time management also making it fast and also taking my things safe and sound from one place to another.

One thing i had a problem with was the their were only few workers that were og old age which for me is very concerning, as they can not left heavy loads.

i would consider having younger workers to make thing better for you

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You address the main situation and mention both a positive aspect—the move took only a few hours—and a concern about the number and age of the workers. However, the task asks you to praise a particularly helpful employee, and no individual employee or specific helpful action is identified; thanking “all your staff” does not fulfil this point. The complaint is also difficult to interpret because the sentence about older workers is unclear, and the suggestion to hire younger staff is not explained. The response is 115 words, below the required 150, so there is limited space to develop the points. Add a specific example of an employee’s help and explain the service problem clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable sequence: you introduce the move, describe what went well, and then raise a concern. The paragraph break before the complaint helps distinguish the positive feedback from the criticism, and the closing is appropriate. However, the progression is brief and some links between ideas are awkward, particularly “I appreciate all your staff for their hard work and time management also making it fast.” The final complaint and recommendation are placed together, but the relationship between them is not fully clear. Use separate, focused paragraphs for the successful service, the employee you wish to praise, and the issue you want addressed. Clearer linking phrases would make the overall arrangement easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “furniture and possessions,” “time management,” and “heavy loads,” so the reader can identify the general subject of your feedback. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the message harder to understand. For example, “taking my things safe and sound” is not a natural way to describe careful handling, while “workers that were og old age” is unclear. “Only few” also needs a more natural expression. Aim for precise service-related wording, such as describing items as being handled carefully and identifying the workers’ physical capacity without making a broad judgement about age.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response uses mostly short, simple sentences, with an attempt to extend ideas through clauses such as “which was very much appreciated by me.” However, errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms are frequent enough to affect clarity. Examples include “It took only few hours,” “I appreciate all your staff for their hard work and time management also making it fast,” and “they can not left heavy loads.” The complaint sentence is especially difficult to follow because its structure breaks down. There are also inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation, including lowercase “i” and a full stop beginning a new line. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and correctly formed verbs, then check articles, verb forms, and punctuation.
