Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear sir/madam,
I am writing this letter regarding the services your firm rendered to me last month, which is on Second of September 2026. Your firm services was awesome
It all started when I was discussing with my brother about the firm that will help me relocate to my new apartment, he recommended you. Immediately i called within few minutes you people has arrived, with your good looking standard van and able young men that help me to lose the airconditioner and the television that was hanging on the wall.
Your firm has good employees, especially the driver of the Van. He brought almost all the ideas that makes the work easier and safe for everybody, for example when his coworkers wanted to brought down the chairs through the staircase which will be more risky and energy consuming. He suggested that will should use rop, which worked perfectly and save energy.
I really appreciate your services from all areas, but I strongly recommend that the. management should hire more workers, The workers that was sent to my apartment was only to that mekes the to delay and waste time, Which made me to miss an important appointment.
Kind regards.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: you describe the prompt arrival and careful handling of furniture, praise the driver’s rope suggestion, and explain that too few workers caused a delay and a missed appointment. These details make the letter relevant and give the reader a clear account of your experience. The praise is supported with a specific example, while the complaint is understandable but could be developed more precisely—for instance, explain how many workers were needed or how the delay affected the move. The opening and closing suit a formal complaint-and-feedback letter, although the greeting should match the supplied wording. Overall, the task is covered, but the points are not equally developed and some details are unclear.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a recognisable progression: it introduces the service, describes the moving day, praises an employee, and then raises a concern. Separate paragraphs help distinguish these functions, and examples such as the driver’s suggestion support the praise. However, some links between ideas are awkward or unclear. For example, “It all started when” shifts into the story of how you chose the company, rather than moving directly into what went well on the day. The final paragraph also combines appreciation, a recommendation, and the consequence of the delay in a confusing sequence. Use clearer transitions and make each paragraph’s main point explicit; this would make the overall organisation more consistently easy to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “relocate,” “staircase,” “risky,” “energy consuming,” and “appointment.” The specific description of using a rope also helps convey the employee’s practical contribution. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or informal, which sometimes makes the message difficult to interpret: “lose the airconditioner” does not clearly express removing it, “good looking standard van” is unnatural, and “brought almost all the ideas” is not an appropriate way to describe the driver’s contribution. There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “rop” and “mekes.” Aim for precise, natural phrases such as “dismantle the air conditioner” and “suggested a safer method.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in the opening and a conditional-style explanation of the staircase risk. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and punctuation sometimes make the reader work to understand the message. Examples include “Your firm services was,” “you people has arrived,” and “the workers that was sent.” The sentence beginning “I strongly recommend that the management should hire more workers” becomes especially difficult to follow because of the broken clause that follows it. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and tense. More accurate control of these structures would make your ideas clearer.
