Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing to tell you about my experience with your comapny for moving my furniture and possestions to my new residential loaction.
Firstly, I feel happy to tell you that almost everything done alright according to my expectations. Moreover, the loader arrived on time and your staff have placed all furniture items according to my guidlines and it reached safely to my new apartment.
Another thing which I like the most is behaviour of your employee which was very good. Additionally, he is very polite, cooeprative and dedicated towards his duty and he also covered my sensitive things such as mirror, oven and televison with protective coverings.
Furthermore, your truck was not working properly, it took half an hour to start and when it started, I noticed that side mirrors were not working properly therefore, at that time i felt nervous because I think that it would damage my furniture but I proved wrong.
I appreciate your services but I hope you would make some improvements as well.
I look forward to your respose.
Kind regards
Nosheen

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you describe the move going smoothly overall, praise an employee for being polite and careful with fragile items, and explain that the truck was difficult to start and had faulty mirrors. The purpose is clear and the tone is generally appropriate for a feedback letter. However, some points are less fully developed than others. The employee is praised, but you do not identify him or give a specific example of how his help made the move easier beyond covering items. The complaint is clear, though its impact and the improvement you want are only briefly stated. To strengthen the letter, add a concrete detail about the employee’s assistance and make a specific request, such as checking vehicles before dispatch.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a clear overall sequence: an opening, positive comments, a complaint, and a closing. Paragraphing helps separate the main points, and linking expressions such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “Furthermore” guide the reader through the response. At times, however, these connectors feel mechanical, and several ideas are joined in long sentences, particularly the description of the truck problem. The reference to “he” is understandable, but the employee has not been introduced with much detail, so the reference could be clearer. Use fewer formulaic transitions and organise each paragraph around one main point. Shorter sentences and a more direct link between the employee’s actions and their benefit would make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main details, including “protective coverings,” “sensitive things,” and “dedicated,” and the reader can understand both your praise and your concern. There are, however, several spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural expressions that limit the accuracy of the vocabulary. For example, “comapny,” “possestions,” and “respose” are misspelled, while “loader” is not the natural term for the person or team moving furniture. “Almost everything done alright” also does not express the intended meaning naturally. Proofread carefully and choose more precise collocations, such as “removal staff,” “fragile items,” and “the vehicle was difficult to start.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because” and “when,” and your meaning is generally clear. Some grammatical errors remain, especially with verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “almost everything done alright” needs a finite verb, such as “almost everything went well,” and “Another thing which I like the most is behaviour” needs an article and more consistent tense. In “your staff have placed,” the tense does not fit smoothly with the past account. The truck sentence also joins several clauses with commas, making it difficult to control. Practise keeping past-tense narration consistent and separating long sentences with full stops or suitable conjunctions.
