Student answer (Band 5.5)
Dear Sir,
greetings from this side hope you are doing fine. This is Mr Olivia from Central apartment whi recently used your company to relocate to my recent house.
Well, i am very happy with how your workers kept time infact i wasn't expecting them to come such early hours in the morning but indeed they understood that time is key to everything. Your workers handle most of the furniture and other household items with great care during loading and offloading.
I was very amazed by all you employees but in particular John was extraordinary he will carefully guide the workers en explain to them on how to load furnitures and the way morden house is supposed to be arranged.
In conclusion, i would ask you to prvide your workers with safety handling tools. Coveralls, and safety boots.
thank you for your service you offered to me i will keep being your esteem customer.
yours faithfully

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You cover all three requested points: the workers arrived on time, handled belongings carefully, and John was especially helpful; you also identify a concern about providing protective equipment. These details make the letter relevant and give the reader a clear sense of your experience. However, the complaint is not fully clear: “provide your workers with safety handling tools” does not explain whether equipment was missing, inadequate, or unsafe, and the request for coveralls and boots is not linked to a specific incident. The praise for John is also brief and could explain more precisely what he did and how it helped your move. Develop these points and state the concern directly to address the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a recognisable structure, moving from an opening, to positive comments, to praise for John, and finally to a concern and closing. Paragraph breaks help separate these functions, and phrases such as “In conclusion” signal a transition. Some connections are less smooth or clear, however. The opening combines a greeting and identification in one run-on sequence, while “I was very amazed by all you employees but in particular John” does not clearly distinguish general praise from the specific example. “In conclusion” also sounds more like an essay transition than a natural way to introduce feedback in a letter. Use clearer sentence boundaries and more direct links between the service issue and your request.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “relocate,” “loading and offloading,” “furniture,” and “safety boots,” so the main subject is understandable. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as describing John as “extraordinary” and saying workers handled items “with great care.” However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “whi,” “prv ide,” “morden,” and “furnitures.” Some expressions are unnatural or unclear, such as “greetings from this side,” “time is key to everything,” and “safety handling tools.” Choose conventional letter phrasing and accurate collocations, and check spelling and singular/plural forms to make your meaning more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You communicate the main events using a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, for example, “Your workers handle most of the furniture … with great care” and the sentence describing John’s guidance. The meaning is generally recoverable, but some errors in verb forms, sentence boundaries, and agreement remain. For example, “workers handle” should refer to the past service as “workers handled,” and “he will carefully guide” shifts awkwardly from past feedback to the future; “he carefully guided” would fit. The opening also runs several ideas together without clear punctuation, and “he … explain” lacks a correctly formed verb. Use consistent past tense for the completed move and divide long ideas into complete sentences.
