Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
The letter begins to address the requested feedback by describing careful handling of possessions and saying fragile items arrived intact, and it starts to identify a helpful employee, Mr Olu. However, the response ends mid-sentence, so the employee’s contribution is not explained and the requested criticism of an aspect of the service is entirely missing. The purpose is recognisable, but the task is only partially addressed and the ideas remain very limited. The response also falls 59 words short of the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop all three points. Complete the praise with a specific example, add a clear but polite complaint, and include enough detail to make the feedback a complete letter.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic sequence: the writer states the purpose, comments on the moving staff, and then begins to mention an employee. Linking expressions such as “Additionally” and “as” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the response is presented as one long, crowded paragraph, and several ideas run together, making the progression difficult to follow. The final phrase, “Mr Olu wh”, is incomplete and leaves the letter without a clear ending. Use separate paragraphs for the positive experience, the employee’s help, and the problem, and make each sentence express one complete idea. A conventional closing would also help the reader recognise the letter as finished.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response includes some relevant vocabulary for a moving service, including “professionally,” “handled my properties with care,” and “fragile equipment,” so the reader can understand the positive experience being described. There is also an attempt at a formal tone. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy, including “anothrs,” “delievered,” and “comend.” Some expressions are awkward or imprecise, such as “movement to another apartment” and “company services that was rendered.” Choose natural collocations such as “move to another apartment” and “the service you provided,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for the employee’s actions and the service problem would also make the feedback more informative.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts to combine ideas using subordinate clauses, for example, “as they act professionally” and “as all the fragile equipments…,” rather than relying only on short simple sentences. However, these longer structures are often faulty, and the response contains frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. Examples include “as am highly impressed,” “services that was rendered,” and the run-on sequence beginning “All went well as your staffs…”. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, with sentence starts after full stops left in lower case. Use complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, check singular/plural agreement, and punctuate each main idea separately. This would make the message easier to read.
