Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to give you feedback about the service provided by your company for the transfer of my all houselhold items, electronics, and furniture to my new apartment One of the most important factors is that your employees are very cooperative and punctual. They reached in time there.
Particularly, one of the employees whose name is Mr.Ammar was very efficient. He packed and loaded all the item in vehicle with great care. He managed all things professionally. His dealings with other employees were also good.
One of the main issues which i faced during this process was the vheicle that your company had provided for carrying all of my possessions to the new apartment. It was not according to need. It was uncomfortable and had less spcae to manage all the items properly. I hope you will try to improve to resolve this issue in fututre.
Yours sincerely,
X.Y.Z.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: the move went well because staff were punctual and cooperative, Mr Ammar is praised for careful handling, and you explain that the vehicle lacked sufficient space. These details make the letter relevant and its purpose clear. The positive points, however, are less fully developed than the complaint: for example, you could explain how the team’s punctuality or careful packing made the move easier, and give a specific example of the difficulty caused by the vehicle. The closing request to improve the service is appropriate, but a more precise suggestion would strengthen the feedback. The response therefore covers the task, while some ideas remain general rather than fully extended.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter follows a clear sequence: an opening that states its purpose, a paragraph about the staff and Mr Ammar, and a final paragraph describing the vehicle problem. This progression makes the main points easy to locate, and phrases such as “Particularly” and “One of the main issues” help signal shifts in focus. To make the organisation more polished, separate the opening into complete, clearly punctuated sentences and use paragraphing consistently. Some links between ideas are also abrupt: the comments about Mr Ammar’s dealings with colleagues do not explain how they contributed to the move. A brief transition or a clearer connection to the service would make the progression feel more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant service-related vocabulary, including “punctual,” “efficient,” “professionally,” and “with great care,” which communicates your praise clearly. There are also attempts at more specific wording, such as “carrying all of my possessions.” However, several spelling errors and awkward or imprecise expressions reduce the naturalness of the letter: “houselhold,” “vheicle,” “spcae,” and “fututre” are noticeable, while “transfer of my all houselhold items” is not idiomatic. “It was not according to need” is also unclear; a phrase such as “it was too small for the load” would be more precise. Proofread spelling and choose natural collocations to improve clarity and control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response includes both simple statements and some longer structures, such as “One of the main issues which I faced during this process was the vehicle…” This shows an attempt to vary sentence forms, and the overall meaning remains understandable. Some grammatical errors nevertheless affect accuracy. In the opening, “the transfer of my all…” has incorrect word order, and “They reached in time there” uses an awkward sentence pattern. There are also issues with articles and number in “all the item” and with sentence boundaries in the long opening sentence, which needs a full stop before “One.” Use more controlled sentence structures, check singular and plural forms, and punctuate each complete idea clearly.
