Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: the move went smoothly because the crew arrived on time and handled items carefully, Jim is praised for recording the goods’ condition and supervising the team, and you explain that inadequate wrapping led to breakages. This gives the letter a clear purpose and relevant detail. The positive points are somewhat more fully described than the complaint, which would benefit from specifying which items were damaged or what remedy you expect. The praise is also slightly unclear where you call Jim “the manager” without explaining whether this was his role on the move. More precise development of these details would make the response feel more complete and assured.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter follows a sensible sequence: purpose, positive experience, praise for an employee, complaint, and closing. Paragraphing helps the reader distinguish these functions, and connectors such as “In addition” and “Besides” signal shifts between points. However, some linking is mechanical or awkward: “Besides a better service” does not clearly introduce the complaint, and repeated “Moreover” makes the praise paragraph feel formulaic. A few references are also unclear, particularly “your stuffs” and “he wrote down every details,” which can briefly interrupt the flow. Use more natural transitions and make each reference explicit; this would strengthen the progression while preserving the clear overall organisation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary covers the main subject, with relevant terms such as “punctual,” “attentive,” “condition,” and “wrapped.” However, a number of inaccurate word choices and collocations make the letter sound unnatural and sometimes require the reader to infer your meaning. “Shifting” is repeated where “move” or “removal” would be more idiomatic, while “stuffs” is not the correct plural for employees or belongings. Phrases such as “weather went well,” “sophisticated things,” and “it feels me disappointed” are also unsuitable in context. Build a more reliable set of collocations for describing a moving service, damage, and staff conduct, and check spelling such as “disappointed.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a contrast clause beginning “though it was on holiday” and a relative clause describing Jim. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “Jim have worked” should use a singular past form, and “my every furniture were” has problems with both determiner placement and agreement. The opening also runs “new house.I” together, while “It helps us” shifts tense from the past account. Practise accurate past-tense narration and subject–verb agreement, then proofread punctuation and sentence boundaries.
