Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: social-media influence, pressure to impress others, and reluctance to repeat outfits are offered as reasons, while parental limits and individual self-control are suggested as responses. These points are relevant, and the conclusion restates the main position. However, the explanations are brief and sometimes unclear. For example, the claim that people avoid repeating clothes because their “personality will drop” needs clarification, and the proposed solutions are mostly general instructions rather than developed ways to persuade people. Explain how parents or individuals could change buying habits, and support a point with a specific example, such as promoting clothing swaps or showing the environmental cost of fast fashion. This would make the response more fully developed across both parts of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, paragraphs on causes and solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad progression. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear: “Furthermore” introduces another cause without showing how it relates to the previous point, and “In addition to” is not followed by a complete, well-connected clause. The paragraph beginning “However” shifts to solutions, but its ideas would be easier to follow if each solution were explained separately and linked to the problem it addresses. Clearer referencing and more precise transitions would strengthen the overall flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “social media influencers,” “fashionable clothes,” “financial strain,” and “fashion trends.” There are also attempts at more formal wording, such as “contemporary era” and “explicated,” but some choices sound unnatural or do not express the intended meaning clearly. Phrases such as “lean more towards the fashion,” “get dressup better,” and “buying clothes unnecessary” weaken precision. Spelling errors, including “realtives,” “Younsters,” and “responsibilty,” also affect accuracy. Aim for natural collocations and accurate word forms rather than overly formal vocabulary; for instance, describe people as “following fashion trends” or “buying clothes they do not need.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a contrast introduced by “however.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors make individual sentences difficult to interpret. For example, “As, they scroll number of reels” has an incorrectly formed clause, while “it may leads” uses the wrong verb form after a modal. In “many people do not like to repeat clothes in because they think t and personality will drop,” the sentence structure and missing words obscure the meaning. There are also problems with agreement and sentence construction, as in “that person usually feel left out.” Review clause formation, modal verb patterns, and subject–verb agreement, then proofread each sentence for completeness.
