In this modern world,There are many styles in dresses these days. Some people buy clothes for just daily routine of life like other things however, other people think that their personality depend on branded clothes. Moreover, I want to argue that clothes are just basic need of life.

First of all, To my understanding in some parts of the world people purchase clothes because there are different seasons in some countries so they dont have any other choice so they buy seasonal dresses. some people prefer branded outfits than local dress. Also in some countries there are many festivals like Eid,Ramdan,National day etc.

Furthermore,I strongly believe that this is just waste of money.Summar dresses, winter dresses,Eid dresses and so on these days clothes are very expensive and I feel like everyone buy branded clothes to just show off.For example,One of my friends are fond of branded expensive clothes a few weeks ago a well known brand set a 50% clearance sale on summer clothes and she purchased 9 to 10 dresses but later all these dresses not worth it because season changed and she just wear 2 to 3 dresses. every season new design and style launch so what is the purpose to buy too many clothes

In conclusion, This is just a basic need and also I prefer local dresses. Brands are just making extra money we can find best fabric in local market so we can stitched them on our demand.I love new design and style but not fond of brands

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions by mentioning possible reasons for buying clothes—seasonal needs, festivals and interest in branded items—and by favouring local clothing as a way to spend less. The example of your friend buying many sale dresses also supports your concern about over-purchasing. However, the response only partially answers the task: the reasons are listed rather than explained, and the second question asks how people can be persuaded to buy fewer clothes, but your suggestions are limited to choosing local fabric and avoiding brands. Your position is present, especially in the conclusion, but it is not consistently developed. Explain practical ways to change buying habits, such as promoting clothing swaps, repairing garments or encouraging people to consider cost per wear.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion, and signposts such as “First of all,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help show the intended structure. The example about your friend also gives one paragraph a clear focus. However, the overall progression is limited: the first body paragraph combines seasons, branded clothing and festivals without showing how these points connect to excessive buying. Some transitions are mechanical, and the long example moves between the sale, the number of dresses, the season changing and new designs without clear sentence boundaries. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain it and connect it explicitly to the question. Clearer referencing and punctuation would also make the relationships between ideas easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the general subject, including “branded clothes,” “seasonal dresses,” “clearance sale” and “local market.” The example also shows an attempt to use specific language rather than relying entirely on general statements. However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or repetitive, such as “basic need of life,” “show off” and repeated uses of “clothes” and “dresses.” Some collocations are awkward, including “new design and style launch” and “best fabric in local market,” which can make the message less natural. Build a wider set of accurate phrases for consumer behaviour and solutions, such as “impulse purchases,” “fast fashion” and “buy fewer, better-quality garments,” and check spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a sentence explaining that your friend bought dresses during a sale and later wore only a few. However, complex sentences are often difficult to follow because clauses are joined without reliable punctuation, as in “a few weeks ago a well known brand set a 50% clearance sale … but later all these dresses not worth it.” There are frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries: “their personality depend,” “everyone buy,” and “she just wear” need corrected verb forms, while “One of my friends are” has a subject–verb agreement problem. Use shorter, complete sentences when needed, and practise accurate past-tense forms and agreement before adding more clauses.
