Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the world of full of trends, everybody like to follow the fashion and spend most of their earnings to make their apperence better. More than half of the young generation prefer to buy new stuff for them every week, alot of reasons can be connected to this and there are few measurable steps that can be taken to let them stop to spend their money recklessly, which will be discussed below.
To begin with, habit of show off is becoming very common in present era. To explain, individual love to show their life style to their near ones by wearing expensive and trending garments. In addition to it, most of the poular stars always post on social media with new collections, which motivates the youngsters to go after them. For eg: One of my friend follow Urfi Javed an Indian fashion designer and she post atleast 5 designs very week and people love to be like her and prefer to shop those eyecatching apparel.
On the other hand, to buy new garments oftenly is kind of waste of hard earned money, so this should be reduced by awaring the generation to spend their earning carefully. Guardians should keep an eye on their childrens and always advice them to invest their paycheques to the business or the things which can be benificial for them in future. Moreover, schools should give them the classes about, purchasing new clothes evryday, can make them broke for upcoming time.
To conclude, the main reason is promotions of different brand clothes by celebrities which takes the people to choose that way, and the solutions to this problem are very limites, because we can only give advice to someone, but we can not stop them.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for buying excessive clothing (such as social media trends and the desire to show off) and suggesting ways to reduce it (parental guidance and school education). The position is clear throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies on sweeping generalisations and simple personal anecdotes, such as mentioning 'One of my friend follow Urfi Javed'. While all parts of the task are addressed, the depth of exploration corresponds to a Band 6, as some ideas remain under-developed and lack broader societal analysis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is arranged with a clear overall structure, including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate ideas. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'To begin with', 'In addition to it', and 'On the other hand'. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical, as seen in awkward transitions like 'to buy new garments oftenly is kind of waste'. Additionally, logical progression is occasionally disrupted by abrupt shifts in examples and explanations, which aligns the response with a Band 6 descriptor.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the student to communicate basic ideas about fashion, spending, and societal pressures. However, there are numerous word choice and spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'apperence', 'alot', 'poular', 'frequently' misspelled as 'oftenly', 'awaring', and 'benificial'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary like 'recklessly' and 'eyecatching', but the persistent errors in spelling and collocation indicate a Band 5 level of lexical resource, as these flaws occasionally cause slight difficulty for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting relative clauses and conditional structures. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, featuring frequent errors such as subject-verb agreement issues ('everybody like', 'individual love'), missing articles ('habit of show off', 'give them the classes'), and incorrect preposition usage ('invest their paycheques to the business'). While communication is generally maintained despite these errors, the high frequency of basic grammatical mistakes prevents the score from reaching Band 6, placing it firmly at Band 5.
